I've read your notes and to the quotes I simply would express
That life is short and to point, your words I shall redress
In hours of sorrow without tomorrow, I've felt those feelings too
But there is light in darkest night when truth's reviled to you
You have a son in time will come, a recognition true
Free of the strings, now pulled by him, the efforts made by you
If I had known, the love you've shown, a mother to a son
I'd not have roamed, those streets alone, and spent youth on the run
Children age in passing days, until one day they come
To see the light, and know in life, which parent has trust won
In other sort, I will retort, on men that you have known
Don't quick to judge, on all of us, the worst you have been shown
Though men of valor, don't often flower, in gardens daily seen
I have known those, to find a rose, just look in fields of green
So there's the rub, and now I dub, this wisdom left to you
Certain moments, are components, of blessings, their fair due.
Optimism is infectious, so with these words I close
See little lights in all your nights and life you shall transpose.
