The Battle
Letting my emotions rule
Struggling within myself to not lose control
(I'm losing the battle)
Rationalization and intellect trying to push through to the front
Go away, you two - I see you there but I refuse to allow you to win. I am emotion and I will beat you down so I can live.
Rationalization and intellect say, "No! Listen to us - when you rule, she hurts . . .she cries - we have to stop you . . .have to."
You can't - I am emotion and you will never win, no matter how hard you try.
Rationalization and intellect say, "We hate you!" (watch that, you're beginning to sound like emotion)
You don't hate me - you want to but you can't, and without me, you'd cease to exist.
Rationalization and intellect say, "But she's hurting . . .she's crying . . .please have mercy!"
