To My Master
Years ago when I was just a little pup,
you came over to my cage and picked me up.
You held me and cuddled me like a baby,
then walked over to the sales clerk and said
this is the dog I want...there is no maybe.
You knew right then that I was the one,
who'd bring you lots of joy and fun.
You took me home and played with me,
then said you're home now it's just you and me.
Through the years you've watched me grow,
I became your best friend but that you know.
I've watched you get married and have a son,
then our family grew and we had so much fun.
But time goes on and I'm getting older,
I know it hurts you master from the
tears you cry on my shoulder.
Master I need you to know that I know how much
you love me and care for me
I know it will be hard for you to move on
when my time has come,
but master please know you will still be loved by some.
I am moving on to a better place,
a place where there is no more pain and suffering,
a place where there are angels and soft clouds for me,
to lay around on and be treated like a king.
One day master...you to will come and join me,
then you shall see that I never really left you.
I just took my vacation before you.
I love you master and I thank you for bringing
me home that day so many years ago.
I thank you for loving me and giving
me a beautiful life with you.
I want you to know that if you keep my memories alive
that I will always be with you in your heart.
So until we meet again ....I love you and thank you for loving me too
and I will see you again master...in the everafter.
