Landmark Plaque

The church received this plaque in February 1972 denoting St. James as a Landmark Church, one of only 175 churches in America and Canada to receive this honor at that time, from Lutheran Brotherhood. St. James was selected for this honor, as it says on the plaque, for being "Distinguished for its Significant Service". This plaque can be found in the narthex next to the Carollinic Bells plaque.
