Ever wonder what a basement in 1830 must have looked like? Wonder no longer. This basement area is used for storage. You can see the wooden beams used to support the floor of the nave of the church at the top of this photo; the stone pillars shoring up the wooden beams; and the dirt and concrete floor where the stone pillars are anchored.
