Welcome
to the Saint Elias Parish - Hosh El Omara. Its is in fact one of the parishes
that takes care of the christian parishes that propagates in arabic on
the internet. Its is a race to carry the complete word of god to all mankind.
It's a race to win the struggle and to continue trying to carry the new
gospel to all mankind and especially for the arabic man in this region
of the world. The Pope once said: "Lebanon is more than a nation, it is
a message".
Saint
Elie's parish - Hosh El Omara
It is
one of Zahle's maronite's parishes. It has been established 200 years ago,
and the archives in it have the names of those who had got both the Baptism
and marriage sacraments in it since 1895. It has more than 600 families
and if we add the emigrated families, the will become about 900.
The church
was rebuilt in 1910. It is in the middle of Hosh El Omara, one of Zahle's
environs in the Lebanese Bekaa. It has a funeral hall, and another one
for different activities such as congratulations, Lectures, weddings and
cocktails. It also has a building made up of three floors. It is called
"St.Elias Pastoral center". The priest and his family live in the upper
floor. The ground floor is specialized for the meetings of the parish's
countrymen in the festivals and other occasions, and a part of it is specialized
for the priest, the religious endowment committee, and the general library
offices. The basement floor is specialized for the apostolic movements
in which it makes its meetings and different activities.
