A while past and they still didn't hear from the doctor. AJ was starting to get really worried. Katelyn was trying to get him to get him to calm down.
"It's going to be ok." she kept saying over and over.
The doctor came in and everybody stood up.
"Sorry, I didn't get a chance to come out sooner." "That's alright. What happened with Stephanie?" Katelyn said. "Oh. Yes. Ok. Well, her fever is really high again and I had to give her some medicine but otherwise she hasn't come to and I'm still waiting for the test results to come back. They should be here any minute. When I get them and/or if anything else should happen, I'll let you guys know." "Thank you." Katelyn said.
The doctor walked away and everybody sat down.
"How come she hasn't waken up yet?" AJ asked. "We don't know." Brian said. "I can't believe she could be this sick." "It happens." "Yeah. I know." AJ said disappointed because that wasn't a answer he wanted to hear.
Nick sat back and closed his eyes. He was still holding his phone. Once he dose off it started ringing.
"Holy sh..." he started to say but was interrupted by Kevin yelling at him. "Hello?" "Hi, this is Katrina. Is Katie there?" "Hi, this is Nick and hold on. Katie, it's for you."
Katie got up and walked over to Nick. She took the phone and then smacked him upside the head.
"OW! What was that for?" he asked while rubbing the back of his head. "For being a smart ass." she said, "Hello?" "Hey. It's Katrina. What is so important?" "Oh. Yeah. Hold on. Kate, Come with me."
Katelyn got up and followed Katie out into the hall.
"What?" Katelyn asked. "You tell Katrina about all this. I haven't been paying close attention."
Katelyn sighed and took the phone from Katie's hand.
"Hi, Katrina. It's Katelyn." "Hey. What is so important?" Katelyn told Katrina everything that had happened to Stephanie. "Is she going to be ok?" Katrina asked. "I don't know. We thought you would want to know." "Yeah. I have to leave for the airport in about 1 and half hours. I'll try and get there as soon as I can. Is Stephanie and AJ back together? I know you guys had a plan to get them back together." "Yeah." "Oh. How is AJ doing?" "He is a wreck." "I feel so bad." "We all do. I gotta go. I don't want to run Nick's bill any higher." "Alright. See ya later." "Bye."
Katie and Katelyn walked back to the waiting room. Katelyn handed Nick his phone and then sat down next to Brian.
