The hospital released Stephanie the next day. When AJ and Stephanie got to Stephanie's house, there was a whole bunch of balloons and flowers from everybody. When they were walking upstairs, Amanda stopped them and said, "Can I talk to you, guys?"
"Sure. Come with us." AJ said.
They all went upstairs to Stephanie's room.
"What do you want?" Stephanie asked her, "Cause I'm kind-of tired." "I want to say, I'm sorry because I caused a lot of trouble and hurt two people just by saying one thing." Amanda said. "Why did you do it?" AJ asked. "Because I was jealous." "Why?" he asked. "Because Stephanie has everything, a boyfriend, tons of friends, a great house, and the list could go on for forever." Stephanie looked down at the floor and said, "I don't think I can forgive you." "What?" Amanda said. Stephanie looked at her. "I can't forgive you." "Why?" "Because I almost lost the greatest guy for forever because you can never accept things for how they are." "Really?! I'm the greatest guy in the world!?" AJ said. "Shut up, AJ." Stephanie said. "See I am." Stephanie turned around and smacked his arm. "Ow! What was that for?" he asked.
Stephanie turned back toward Amanda and laughed. AJ came up behind her, put his arms around her waist and said, "I knew you loved me."
Stephanie laughed and shook her head. They both looked at Amanda. Her face was beat red and she looked like she was going to blow.
"Jealous much?" Stephanie asked.
That made Amanda come at Stephanie. Stephanie ducked and Amanda ended up hitting AJ. He grabbed his eye. "Geez! Is everybody out to hit me?" he asked as he sat down on the bed. But he missed the bed and fell to the floor. Stephanie kneeled down on the floor, laughing.
"I don't find that very funny." he said to her. "AJ, answer this for me. How can you miss the bed when the bed is a king's size bed?" "I don't know but can we get me some ice?" Amanda couldn't take it anymore so she left. "Yeah. Let's get some ice. BRI!!" Stephanie screamed.
He came running down the hall. "What's the matter?" he asked. "AJ needs some ice." "Why?" "Amanda punched him. Well, she was trying to punch me but I ducked and she hit AJ instead." "Oh, ok. I'll be right back." "Thanks."
After Brian left, AJ asked Stephanie, "Can we just forget what happened yesterday?" "I don't know. Let me think. Ummmm!" "Oh. Come on, Stephanie. Can we?" Stephanie leaned down and kissed him.
When they finally pulled apart, AJ said, "Can I take this as a yes?" Stephanie nodded her head. She leaned down and kissed him again. "Excuse me. I hope that I'm not interrupting anything!?" Stephanie and AJ pulled apart and looked up. It was Brian. "No, your not interrupting anything important." Stephanie said. "Excuse me?!" AJ asked. "Just joking."
Brian came in the room. He handed Stephanie the ice. Then he helped AJ off the floor to the bed. All of a sudden, Katelyn came in the room. "Do you guys want to go see, 'I Still Know' tonight?" "I guess so." Brian said. AJ and Stephanie looked at each other then Stephanie said, "Sure." "Ok. The movie starts at 7:30 so be ready by 7:00" Katelyn said. "Alright." Then Brian and Katelyn left the room.
Stephanie looked at AJ and said, "I'm tired." "So am I." AJ looked at the clock. It said 2:30. Stephanie reached over and set the alarm for 6:00. "I don't know about you but I'm going to go to sleep for a little while." she said. "Can I join you?" AJ asked. "Yeah. I guess so."
Stephanie layed down next to AJ. He wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and pulled her close to him.
"AJ?" Stephanie said. "Yeah?" "I love you." "I love you too."
Stephanie smiled. Then she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
