At 6:00, the alarm went off. Stephanie got some clothes, then she went to the bathroom to take a shower. When she came downstairs, Brian and Katelyn were sitting on the couch and AJ was in the chair. They were watching TV.
"Hey, everybody." she said. They looked up. "Hey." they all said in unison. She walked across the room to where AJ was sitting and sat on the floor by his feet. He looked down at her. Then he said, "What are you doing?"
"Sitting down." "Why are you sitting on the floor?" "Because there are no chairs." "So?" "I doesn't bother me to sit on the floor." "Alright." "I have to go blow dry my hair. I'll be back." She stood up and started walking away when AJ pulled her back. She leaned down and gave him a kiss. Then she walked away.
When Stephanie was blow-drying her hair, Katelyn came in her room. "I came up to tell you that Nick called for you while you were in the shower." "Who picked up the phone?" "I did." "You didn't tell AJ who it was did you?" "No, why?" "Because Nick is a sore subject between me and him." "Oh." "Yeah, so don't tell him and try and make sure he doesn't come upstairs or pick up the phone becuse I'm going to call him back." "Ok." "Thanks."
Katelyn went back downstairs and Stephanie picked up the phone and dialed Nick's number. "Hello?" "Nick?" "Yeah." "Hi, it's Stephanie. You called?" "Yeah. I need to talk to you abut something." "Can you meet me at the mall tomorrow?" Because I'm going out tonight." "Ok. See you around 12?" "Sure." They hung up. Then Stephanie went back downstairs to the living room.
Katelyn, can you come here a minute?" Katelyn got up and started walking out of the room when the phone rang. Since she was the closest she picked it up. It was for Brian and it was Donna. Katelyn handed the phone to Brian. Then she followed Stephanie to the kitchen.
"Katelyn, can you come to the mall with me around 12 tomorrow?" "Sure, but why?" "Because I'm meeting Nick and I don't want AJ to become suspicous." "Yeah, sure."
They walked back into the living room and Katelyn sat back down on the couch and Stephanie sat down on AJ's lap. "Are you happy now?" "Sort-of." "What?" "Ummm. Brian's going to tell you." "Thanks, AJ." Brian said. Stephanie looked at Brian.
"Well, there's no easy was to put this. We are leaving for a tour. We just got the phone call." "How long are you guys going to be gone?" "2 months." "That's not bad. When are you leaving?" "5 days." "Do you have to go?" Stephanie asked AJ. "Yeah." "I don't want you to leave me." "It's not for that long." "I know but I'm still going to miss you." "Well, let's try and make the best of it for the last couple of days." AJ said while giving Stephanie a hug. "Well, let's get going if we are going to make the movie." Katelyn said. "Alright. Come on, Stephanie." AJ said.
She stood up and AJ took her hand and they walked outside to the car. On the way to the movie theater, Stephanie got very tense. AJ told her, "Don't worry. It's going to be ok." She started to loosen up. She put her head on his legs and was silent for the rest of the ride. AJ played with her hair to keep her calm. She was quiet all during the movie and on the ride home. When they got home, she went up to her room and went to bed.
"Geez. AJ what did you do now?" Katelyn asked. "That's the problem. I don't know." They all went upstairs and went to bed.
