"Bri, Calm down. She said she would be here so she will." Nick said. "I know." "What time did you tell her?" "Around 9."
Nick looked at the clock on the wall. Then he turned back to Brian and said, "You still have a couple of minutes." "I know."
Nick walked away and sat down next to Kevin. "He doesn't think she's going to show." Nick said. "I know I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't." "Why?" "Because everybody hurt her and we broke her and AJ up." "Oh, yeah. I forgot about that."
Brian turned around and looked at the clock when he heard somebody behind him say, "I can't believe you thought I wasn't going to show."
He turned back around to find Stephanie standing behind him.
"Yeah, actually that's what I thought." "Why?" "Because...I don't know." "Oh." "Well, are you just going to stand there all day?" "I was thinking about it." "Very funny."
She gave him a hug and then she asked, "Where's AJ?" "He's over there." he said while pointing across the room. "Then, can we go over there?" she said pointing to the opposite side of the room where Nick and Kevin were sitting. "Sure. Come on."
They went over by Nick and Kevin and Brian sat down. Since there were no other seats, Stephanie sat down on Brian's lap.
"You didn't think I was going to sit on the floor, now did you?" "No, I don't mind."
They sat there talking with Nick and Kevin for awhile.

AJ was sitting with Howie, Katie, and Katrina, talking. He looked and saw Stephanie sitting on Brian's lap, talking to him, Nick, and Kevin. He turned to Howie and asked, "Is she going out with Brian?"
"Who?" "Stephanie." "No. They are just really good friends." "Oh." "Why?" "No reason." "AJ, do you still like her?" Katie asked. "Why?" "Because why else would you care is she was going out with Brian?" "Yes, Katie. I still like her. But it doesn't matter because she doesn't want anything to do with me because of you guys."
Howie, Katrina, and Katie got up and walked over to Stephanie.
"Steph, can we talk to you for a minute?" Katie asked. "Why?" "Because we need to."
Stephanie got up and followed them to over by the door.
"Could we make this quick?" she asked. "I speak for all of us when I say, We are really sorry. Can you give AJ another chance?" Katie said.
Stephanie looked at AJ and he looked back. Then she looked at the floor. Then she looked back at Howie, Katie, and Katrina and shook her head 'no'. She smiled a fake smile and then walked away. She walked back over to Brian, Nick, and Kevin and sat down on Brian's lap.
"What did they want?" Brian asked. "They wanted to apologize and ask if I would give AJ another chance." "What did you say?" Nick asked. "What do you think I said?" "No." "Yeah." "Why?" "I don't know." "Do you still like him?" "You ask a lot of questions. Otherwise, yes I still like him."
Brian and Nick smiled at each other. (Nick also knew about the plan.)
"What was that for?" Stephanie asked. "Nothing." Brian said. "Yeah, sure, ok."
Brian put his finger over Stephanie's lips to get her to shut up.
All of a sudden, AJ showed up. Stephanie looked at him and then looked at the floor.
"Hello, Stephanie." he said. "Hi." "I came over to tell you guys that it is time to get on the plane." "Ok." Brian said. AJ walked away.
Stephanie, Brian, Nick, and Kevin stood up. Stephanie gave Brian a hug and a kiss. Then she gave Nick and Kevin a hug. Then she walked away and disappeared into the crowd.
