Stephanie went back to the living room and sat down on the couch next to AJ.
"What time is it?" Stephanie asked. "Um. Around 8." "Do you mind if I see if my mom is home?" "No. Go ahead. The phone is on the table."
Stephanie looked to see where the table was and in order to get the phone she had to reach over AJ. So she reached over him and grabbed the phone. She started sitting back up when AJ pulled her onto his lap and kissed her.
After a couple of minutes, she pulled away and said, "I should really call my mom." "Yeah you should." "Are you going to let me?" "Eventually." "Can I call her, please?" "Go ahead but you owe me." "Yeah that's what you think." "I heard that." "Yeah. I know."
Stephanie turned the phone on and dialed the number. After a couple rings, her mom picked up the phone.
"Hello?" her mom said. "Hey mom. It's me." Stephanie said. "Where are you?" "At a friend's." "When are you coming home?" "Whenever you want me to." "As soon as possible. We need to talk and I have to leave soon." "Where are you going?" "Business trip." "Where? When?" "London and a couple hours it was cheaper to go at night than to travel tomorrow." "Aright. I'll come home then." "Ok." "C-ya." "Bye."
Stephanie hung up the phone and turned to AJ. She handed him the phone and then said, "Could you give me a ride home?"
"Are you sure you have to go?" AJ asked. "Yeah. My mom need to talk to me about something and she's leaving soon." "Where's she going?" "Business trip." "Oh." "Yeah so will you take me home?" "Yeah."
They both stood up and walked outside to AJ's car.
~*At Stephanie's house*~
Stephanie and her mom were sitting in the living room. AJ had gone back home.
"Your father called." her mom said. "He wants you to come visit him down in Ft. Lauderdale." "I don't want to." "Ok. If that's your decision." "Yeah. Everytime I go down there, he's always with the airheads that he likes to call his girlfriend and totally ditches me." "Ok. I'll let him know." "Ok."
They talked for awhile and then the taxi came to pick up Stephanie's mom.
Once she left, the phone rang.
"Hello?" she said. "Hey. It's Jeff. I'm coming over to hang out. See ya in a couple minutes." Jeff said then he hung up the phone.
Stephanie got really scared and then she called AJ.
"Hello?" AJ said, sleepily. "Did I wake you?" she asked. "Yeah but that's ok since it's you. So what's up?" "Can you come over?" "It's the middle of the night, sort-of." "Jeff called. He's on his way." "Alright. I'll be right over."
Stephanie sat down on the couch and waited for AJ.
