They got back to the house and noticed that the guys weren't back yet. Just in case, they went up into Amanda's room.
They went in the room and closed the door behind them.
"Ok. So what's your big idea?" Amanda asked. "We are going to hook up Katie and Nick." "And how are we going to do hat, sherlock?" "Ok. We are going to send Katie flowers with a card that tells her to come to a certain place and the card isn't going to be signed with a name. It's going to say from a secert admirer. Got that so far?" "Yeah." "Ok. And we'll do the same thing with Nick. Only we'll send him a teddy bear with balloons. How does that sound?" "Wow! Your not a total blonde!" "I know. Hey!"
Then they heard the front door open and close.
"Ok! They're back so just run down the stairs ou the door so we can go get these things." Stephanie said. "Ok."
They went down the hallway and ran down the stairs almost knocking Brian, Nick, and AJ over.
"Wait! Where are you two going in such a hurry?" AJ said stopping Stephanie. Brian did the same to Amanda.
"Um. Nowhere." Stephanie said. "I need to talk to you." "Um. It has to wait till later. Me and Amanda will be back later."
With that, Stephanie and Amanda ran out the door.
They went to the flower shop. They got Katie a dozen of pink roses with a note that told her to meet a secert person at the beach at 8. They got Nick a teddy bear that had a card that said the same thing as Katie's. Then they went home.
The guys were sitting in the living room along with Katelyn.
"Kate? What are you doing here?" Amanda asked. "Um. I live here." Katelyn said. "Oh, yeah." "So who's the blonde now?" Stephanie asked. "Not me." Amanda said. "Ok. I'll shut up now."
Amanda went over and sat down next to Brian and Stephanie went over and sat next to AJ. AJ looked at her and then pulled her onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her. She leaned back against him and the doorbell rang.
Amanda and Stephanie looked at each other and smiled. Brian and AJ looked at each other and knew that they were up to something.
"Is somebody going to get the door?" Katelyn asked.
Nobody answered her.
"Alright. I'll get it." she said again.
Katelyn got up and came back with a teddy bear.
"Who's that for?" Amanda asked while looking at Stephanie. "Um. It's for Nick." Katelyn said while handing it to him.
AJ and Brian looked at each other and then Brian said, "Can we talk to you two in the kitchen?"
AJ and Brian stood up and walked to the kitchen with Amanda and Stephanie following.
"What did you two do now?" AJ asked. "Why do you think we did something?" Stephanie asked. "Honey. It's kind-of obvious." "Ok. We are trying to hook up Katie and Nick." "Why?" "Because they like each other. Katie told us that she liked him and Nick probably told you that he likes her." Amanda said. "Actually, yeah he did." "See." "Ok. So what did you guys do?" Brian asked. "Well, we sent Katie flowers and Nick a teddy bear with cards that said to be at the beach at 8 and we didn't give names."
AJ and Brian looked at them and shook their heads and then they all went back into the living room.
