Brian walked into the living room.
"Where's Nick?" he asked. "Can't you hear him?" Howie yelled over the loud banging from Nick's drums so that Brian could hear him. "So that's what that is."
Brian walked upstairs. When he got to Nick's room, he knocked hard on the door. Nick didn't answer. Brian knocked harder. Nick still didn't answer so Brian just walked in.
"Nick!" Brian said.
Nick ignored him and continued playing the drums.
"Nick!" Brian said even louder.
Nick kept playing.
"Nick!!" Brian screamed.
Nick stopped playing and looked at him.
"What's the matter?" Brian asked him. "I don't want to talk about it." "Why?" "Cause I don't." "She wants you to stay away from her, right?" "AJ spilled?" "Yeah." "It's his fault." "You do got a point." "I just want to be alone right now. Could you please leave?" "Yeah. I guess so."
Brian walked down the stairs and out the door. He walked next door to Stephanie's house and rang the doorbell. Stephanie came to the door.
"Can we talk?" Brian asked. "I guess so." Stephanie said.
They walked into the living room and sat down on the couch.
"How come your dissing everybody?" Brian asked. "Cause I'm too good for those dorks." "But Nick wants to be your friend." "So?" "You're so impossible." "I know." "Forget it." "Whatever. Why were you talking to Amanda before?" "Cause I was." "Brian likes Mand. Brian likes Mand. I'm going to call Nick."
Stephanie picked up the phone and dialed Nick's number.
"Hello?" somebody said. "Brian likes Mand." was all Stephanie said and then she hung up. "What was that for?" Brain asked. "Well you do like her, don't you?" "Yeah, so?" "I'm calling Mand."
Stephanie picked up the phone again and Brian hung it back up.
"Hey. I was calling Mand." "No, your not." "What are you my father?"
Just then Brian's cell phone rang. Brian picked it up.
"Hello?" he said. "Bri?" "D?" "Where are you." "At Stephanie's house." "Bri likes Steph." "Shut up." "Someone's in a bad mood." "Just shut up. Why did you call?" "Cause I was wondering where you went." "I told you I went to Steph's house." "Oh. So your at Jay's house." "No. I'm at Steph...." "Brian likes Mand." Stephanie screamed.
Stephanie had taken Brian's phone and screamed in it. Brian took it back.
"Hello?" Brian said. "Man, that was the wrong thing to do." "Why?" "Nick was sitting right next to me on the couch and he heard what Stephanie said." "So that's why you said I was at Jay's house." "Duh." "I thought you were stupid." "Just because I look stupid doesn't mean I am. Wait. I just dissed myself." "Howie, I hate to say it, you are so stupid. I gotta go."
Brian hung up the phone before Howie could say another word.
"So are you going out with Amanda tomorrow?" Stephanie asked. "Yes, no, maybe so." "You're going out with Amanda." "Maybe I am." "Brian likes Mand. Brian likes Mand."
Brian started tickling Stephanie. They fell back on the couch and Brian kept tickling her.
"Stop." Stephanie said while laughing. "No." "Please." "Will you call and talk to Nick?" "Why?" "Cause he's really upset." "Fine." "Are you sure?" "Yes."
Brian stopped tickling her and handed her the phone. She sighed and dialed the number.
"Hello?" Howie said. "Is Nick there?" "No. Can I take a message?" "Tell him that Stephanie called." "Ok. Wait. He is here then. Hold on." "Ok." "Hello?" Nick said. "Hey, Nick. It's Stephanie." "Hi." "Can you come over? I need to talk to you." "It depends." "On what?" "Are you going to slam the door in my face?" "I'll try not to." "I can live with that." "Are you going to come over?" "Yeah. I'll see ya in a couple minutes. "Alright. Bye." "Bye."
Stephanie hung up the phone.
"So?" Brian asked. "He'll be over in a couple minutes." "Oh."
Stephanie turned on he TV and her and Brian sat next to each other on the couch. A couple minute later, there was a knock at the door.
