They walked over to their house and went in. Nick went into the living room and sat down on the couch. Howie, Kevin, and AJ looked at him.
"What happened to you?" Kevin asked.
Nick totally ignored him so Brian answered him, "She gave him a kiss on the chhek."
"So the all-famous Stephanie kissed little Nicky on the cheek?" Kevin said. "Yep." Brian said. "This is a big deal why?" AJ asked. "Shut-up, AJ." Howie said.
They all sat there watching TV for awhile and then they went to sleep.

Stephanie, Chloe, and Amanda had become friends again and Nick and Stephanie had gotten closer. ~~~~~~~Friday~~~~~~~
The phone was ringing and Stephanie picked it up.
"Hello?" she said. "Hey, Steph. It's Amanda." "Hey." "Are you going to Steve's party tonight?" "Yeah. I guess so." "Are you going with Nick?" "I don't know if he's going." "Well, ask him and then call me back." "Alright."
Stephanie hung up the phone and then picked it back up. She dialed Nick's number.
"Hi. Is Nick there?...Hey, Nick...Are you going to Steve's party tonight?...Do you want to go with me?...Ok. See ya then...Bye..."
Stephanie then called Amanda and told her that she was going with Nick.
~~~~~~~That night at the party~~~~~~~
Stephanie was hanging out with Nick, Brian, and Amanda.
"Steph, Will you go outside with me for a minute?" Amanda asked. "Don't you see how hard its raining?" "Yeah. So what?" "Are you afraid that you are going to melt?" Brian asked. "No. I just don't want to get wet." "You are such a snob." Nick said. "Excuse me?" "I said that you are such a snob."
Hurt came across Stephanie's face and then tears came streaming down her cheeks. She got up and ran out the door into the pouring rain.

"Well, now she went outside." Brian said. "Nick, what is the matter with you?" Amanda asked. "Yeah. She's never going to like you "as more than a friend" if your going to act this way." Brian said.
Nick shook his head and then went outside. He saw Stephanie walking down the street and he ran to catch up wih her. He finally caught up with her and grabbed her arm. He turned her around so that she was facing him.
"Let go of me!" she screamed at him as she tried to get her arm from his grasp. "I'm sorry." Nick said.
Stephanie got her arm free and said, "I thought you were my friend."
She continued walking down the street to her house.
"Can't you just listen to me?" Nick asked. "No. I'm too much of a snob."
Nick ran after her and turned her around and kissed her. She pulled away and looked at him.
"What was that for?" Stephanie asked. "I like you. I've lways liked you since the first time I saw you." Nick replied.
Stephanie just stood there.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Nick asked.
Stephanie nodded her head and Nick smiled.
"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to kiss me?" Stephanie asked.
Nick kissed her and they stood there kissing as the rain came pouring down on them, soaking them to the skin.

Stephanie and Nick went back inside to the party and told Amanda and Brian that they were leaving. Since Brian drove, Nick and Stephanie walked to Nick's house in the rain. When they got there, they went inside.
"What happened to you?" Kevin asked.
Nick and Stephanie looked at each other. Then Nick said, "We walked."
Nick took Stephanie's hand and they went up to his room. When they got there, Nick handed Stephanie a sweatshirt and sweatpants and she went into the bathroom and got changed. Nick did the same after her and then they went downstairs to the living room. They got a blanket and curled up together underneath it on the couch and watched TV. Howie and AJ came in the room.
"Wait. You guys are. No. You can't be. Can you? Are you?" Howie said.
Nick shook his head.
"Prove it." AJ said. "Why should we?" Stephanie asked. "Because if you don't prove it, it means that you aren't." "You are such a baby." "Hey, you two, stop." Howie said.
AJ gave Stephanie a dirty look and then left the room.
