"Tabatha! What are you doing here?" Stephanie asked. "I saw your little date last night. I called Mark and told him everything. I finally got you back for stealing Bryce from me in seventh grade." "That was like five years ago. I never knew you liked him. Anyway, we broke up like, a month later." "I don't care. I like Mark and you had him. In fact, he's on his way over here right now."
Tabatha gave her a smug look.
"I've got to go. I'll see you later." Tabatha said.
Ten minutes later, the doorbell rang. Stephanie got up off the couch and answered the door.
"Nick. Thank god your here. Let's leave now." "Ok. Where do you wanna go?" "How 'bout the mall? I need a new outfit for school anyway." "Ok."
Stephanie closed and locked the door and then her and Nick went to the mall.

Nick helped Stephanie pick out a new outfit and then they went to go get some food.

"I don't want to go home." Stephanie said. "Why?" "Cause something happened and Mark is supposed to come over and it's not for a very good reason." "Oh. Why don't you come over my house?" "Are you sure?" "Yeah." "Ok."

When Stephanie and Nick walked in, Brian, AJ, Howie, and Kevin were watching Austin Powers.
"What are you doing here?" Nick asked. "We live here. Is that the all-famous Stephanie?" Kevin asked.
Nick gave Kevin a dirty look saying 'Shut up.'
"What's he talking about?" Stephanie asked. "Nothing." Nick said. "Ok."
Then Stephanie's beeper went off. She looked to see who it was.
"Do you got a phone I can use?" she asked Nick. "Yeah. Right there." Nick said while pointing at the phone on the table next to the couch. "Thanks."
Stephanie walked over and picked up the phone. She dialed Amanda's number.
"Hello?" a guy said. "Who's this?" "Depends. Who's this?" "Trey, Can I talk to Amanda?" "Why?" "Can you just put her on?" "Somebody's in a bad mood." "I wasn't till you put me there." "Funny. Hold on." "Thank you."
A couple minutes later, Amanda came on.
"Where are you? Mark is starting to get worried." Amanda said. "No, he isn't worried. He just wants to talk to me so he can yell and then dump me." "That's not true." "I'm not having this conversation any longer. So I gotta go. Goodbye."
Stephanie hung up the phone and then she turned around to find Howie, Kevin, Brian, Nick, and AJ looking at her.
"Why is he going to dump you?" Nick asked. "Cause I did something I shouldn't have." "What did you do?" "I'd rather not talk about it." "Ok. Well, were watching Austin Powers, do you guys want to join us?" Kevin asked. "Sure. I guess so." Stephanie said.
AJ and Brian moved over on the couch so that Stephanie could sit down. They watched the rest of Austin Powers and then other movies. After awhile, Stephanie had fallen asleep.
"What are we going to do with her?" Howie asked. "I'll put her in my room and I'll sleep down here. I don't want to wake her up." Nick said.
Then he picked Stephanie up off the couch and carried her upstairs to her room. On his way back downstairs, Brian stopped him on the stairs.
"You really like her, don't you?" Brian said. "Yeah. I do."
Brian smiled and walked upstairs and Nick went down to the living room.
