Nothing planned, music wise, for the new year. Gregg doesn't seem to be in a music mood, and I have not touched a guitar in months, not even my acoustic. I want that to change. My studio is set up and I have four songs ready to go, so whatever becomes of them, we'll just have to wait and see. Domestic life for both Gregg and me have overcome our lives. Gregg is looking for a new job, fresh off getting his GED and going to classes for medical lab work. I'm heading back to school for web development. Whatever happened to our dreams of being rock stars? Boy, times have changed. The music industry sucks nowadays, so in retrospect, I'm glad it never happened. I do plan on doing the long awaited songwriting project, with hopes of a future publishing contract. I'm glad I have supporting parents and they're really pushing me to do it. I will once I get some good time for myself, which should be in a few weeks.
Anyhoo, just some random thoughts while Nat King Cole plays on the stereo. I'll write more soon. Almost time for giving my daughter her late night snack. Happy New Year!

It's almost 11:30 PM. I am dead tired and I tried to doze off, but I have my contacts in and it's impossible. Broken glasses, so I'm stuck struggling to stay awake. Doing this entry will help me though, hopefully.
Boy, I've got one beautiful little girl lying down here next to me. Almost a month old. She has a face to die for! I'm a lucky man to have two gorgeous kids. I'm so happy all went well with the birth and that Jessica is healthy and beautiful...just what I prayed for every night. She and Jonathan are total opposites. Jonathan was not a good eater at first, Jessica is. Jonathan slept well during the night, Jessica is quite a bit fussy. Jonathan hardly cried as a baby. Jessica cries a lot. But the good outweighs the bad. I can stare at her face all day when she's awake. She looks a lot like her brother when she's sleeping though. Jonathan is in a bit of a jealous stage and he's not as good with her as I hoped he would be. He does like to give her kisses though, but he hits her a lot, which I can't seem to control. It'll pass though, I hope. We're spending just as much time, if not more time with Jonathan before Jessica was born. I play with him all the time, still put him to bed, read to him, feed him, bathe him. He doesn't have to be jealous. I love both my kids equally.
Music...still don't have a clue as to when that's gonna happen again. At least not until Jessica is sleeping through the night and I have some more night time freedom. Basement studio is put back together and I'm ready to go, it's just a matter of finding the time, and hopefully Gregg will join me in the recording once it's back on track.
That's about it for now. 12 midnight feeding coming up in a half an hour!

Been almost a month since my last update. Lots going on. I am about a week away from being a father again. Cheryl will be induced sometime next week if the baby doesn't come this week. Trying to get myself mentally ready. Also trying to get in whatever sleep I can get until then, which isn't easy. Jonathan likes to get up before dawn (usually around 6:15) and drives me crazy running around in his room and the playroom. I wish he would stay in bed, or at least let me put the gate up we got for his room. I'm trying to deal with it, but it's just not easy. Part of being a dad, which is gonna get tougher in a week.
Oh yeah...the Mets blew it since my last post. I still can't get over it! I just can't believe what a mess they made of the last two weeks. Unreal. At least the Phillies blew it as well in the first round of the playoffs, as did the Yankees, which makes me happy! Baseball is over for the year. I'll watch some hockey here and there, but other things will take up my time.
The basement is finally finished!!! A year and a half later! I'm finally taking my CDs out of my boxes and fixing up the studio. Now, hopefully Gregg and I can get to work on some music once we settle in with the new baby. I'm hoping to have two new projects done next year. We've never taken this long in between projets. "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans." Boy, John was so right!!
That's about it for now. Next blog will be my first after the birth of my daughter...wish me luck!!

Sunday night. Currently listening to Manowar's "Hail to England" and Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" on LP! I miss records!
Not a bad weekend. Cheryl and I celebrated our FIFTH anniversary with a quiet afternoon and evening alone. Jonathan spent the night at his grandparents' house, and came home with a cold! But, he came back today and had a ball playing outside with me, his uncle, his aunt and cousin Gino! We had a great time! Jonathan is now in a big boy bed! He's doing pretty well for his first day and night in it! He's getting too big. I think he's starting to understand that he's going to have a baby sister. Jessi's doing well. Kicking the crap out of her mommy. Week 34 tomorrow! I hope for at least 2 more weeks.
Music wise, Gregg now says he wants to do some recording, including a new version of his classic "Tears That I Cry." Any new recordings from him is welcome, so maybe our "TT 25" album is back on. I hope so. I want a new CD from us. Long overdue for one. It's been three years since "Cat Butts."
Gregg doesn't want to do a blog for now. That's okay. I'll post more soon. Gonna do some record shopping on eBay now.
August 20, 2007 Entry
Rainy Monday afternoon. It's pretty chilly out for an August day. Only 63 degrees. I like it though! All of us are sick. Jonathan had a nasty cough and fever over the weekend. Now I have a really stuffy nose and I feel a little lathargic. Cheryl seems to be doing well. Baby is 30 weeks and over 3 pounds now!!!
Still trying to get Gregg to do a blog. I'd love to have him do one. It would be neat. He has a lot going on in his life now. I'm happy to know that. It's long overdue.
Solo CD is gonna happen, which is unfortunate. This would have been our 25th CD. I had a layout for the cover and the title, but now that's not gonna happen. The songs I started will be for a solo project. I have 6 songs ready, proabably will resurrect one or two more and try to write a ninth. I plan on doing three covers, which I'm deciding on. Also, our "50 Tales of Whoa" novelty best of is on the planning stages now as well. Gregg says he will do some new music for that with me.
Looking forward to seeing Van Halen. Hope I can get tickets. It will be only the second concert of the year for me, after Sabbath. I used to go to almost a dozen shows a year. Domestic life will change that. Hey, I like being home.
I think that's it for now.

First entry...now all I gotta do is think about what I want to say. Rainy day, but I like rainy days. As long as I don't have to drive in it and the power in my house stays on. Well, on a personal level, I'm watching Jonathan right now. He's basically a good boy today, but he has his moments of being a brat. It's still early, so he will probably drive me insane by the time he goes to bed! Cheryl's working in the bedroom. Hopefully the baby is doing alright. 29 weeks on Monday. I hope everything is alright.
New guestbook on the site. I was so tired of the spam entries that were polluting it and the "managing the guestbook" link hasn't been working, so I took down the old one and put up a brand new guestbook from a new source. Too bad we have to lose all of those classic old entries! But hey...new ones are welcome! I plan on doing some more work on the site soon. Hopefully Gregg will agree to do a blog as well. That would be cool.
I have some plans for new projects. Unfortunately, they're not really the projects I want to work on right now, but with Gregg's new school schedule and all of the stuff going on here at home, I got to work on other things. New CD is on hold right now and some compilation stuff is now on the table. It's been 3 years since "Cat Butts" and we usually do a CD a year. Oh well, life gets in the way. I have four songs started and they have to be put on hold...unless I decide to do a solo project. Lots of ideas. Gotta get my head together.
That's it for now.
