Know all men by these presents that I, Theophilus Thompson of the County and State aforesaid are held firmly bound unto his Excellency Hutching G. Burton Governor of said state of his successors in office in the sum of five hundred pound lawful money for which payment will and truly to be made I bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally by these payments, sealed with our seals, and dated this 18th March 1825 void if no lawful cause shall appear to obstruct the solimnization of a marriage between John Williams and Nancy Thompson of said county:
