GODZILLA’S PLAYHOUSE

There’s a rumbling rising 
Off in the distance and then
Lightning flashes and the 
Great green mountain rises

From the sea.

Little short people shouting 
Running, screaming, fleeing
Everybody’s calling:

Help Peewee.

Peewee Herman dressed in
gray suit takes his bike and
Rides to the monster and says it’s:

You and me.

Peewee versus Godzilla
Lizard versus Man
Bow-tie versus nuclear fire
Who will be left to stand?

Now they’re tearing down the power lines
And ripping up the roads
Leaching off the power plant
Watch it explode, explode.

Peewee versus Godzilla!
Rampaging through the town
There’s a grumbling in the playhouse
Shaking it down to the ground.

Pee Wee grabs the Monster
By the pinky tootsy  
Rings it round and sunder
Godzilla roars in anger

Pee Wee screams.

Godzilla flops his foot round
Powerf’ly pounds his paw down
Godzilla’s standing happy

Pee Wee’s creamed.

It was Pee Wee versus Godzilla
Lizard Versus Man
Bow-tie versus nuclear fire
Now there’s one squished lil man.
