PNC BANK ARTS CENTER 7-30-2005

Well hello again! Here we are, once again, at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ! My concert pal and I got there at 5:00. First off, a big hello to the folks that I met here. Duranfan0620, GeorgieGirl, Midnite Taylor (and her boyfriend), GlamorTigerBabyJunkie, Pepster, and I can't remember the other two girls I was with (and Duranfan0620's daughter too. She rocks)! You all are cool people! We were rocking and dancing our asses off at our little gathering before the show even started....LOL! Yeah baby!

We did not see the opening act. We went inside around 8:30. The concert started at 9:06, but that is okay! The concert kicked ass. It was great! Okay, you all know what the guys were wearing by now, but I have to do this out of tradition (see my past reviews....LOL)!

Simon had on the silver glittery jacket, long sleeve black shirt, black tight pants with pinstripes, and he changed into the red shirt, and the the white t-shirt after the encore (one of the tour shirts). At first I thought John's jacket was grayish in color for some reason, but I was in the lodge without my binaculars, and was watching the screens mainly. However, it was a black jacket, white shirt, and the famous black leather pants (I thought the white shirt had pinstripes for some reason, but it didn't. I guess I have a "fettish" for pinstripes all of a sudden? LOL). Nick was wearing all black - including a black tie. Andy and Roger were wearing all black as well. Roger had a long sleeve shirt that looked like it sparkled as well.

The sound kind of sucked and the people in my section were all dorks because they sat down throughout the whole show (and only stood up when the guys were leaving for their encore). Pepster, NicksMedazzaland, and I sat together. We were standing up dancing - having a great time, and since there were so many seats empty by us, we had even more room to move.

There were so many highlights to this show that I can't possibly name them all. Hearing "SOUND OF THUNDER" and "STILL BREATHING" live for the time was a definite plus, and I loved how they did "NOTORIOUS/I WANNA TAKE YOU HIGHER". I was curious as to how that was going to sound, and it was awesome! I, actually, like that version better than the NOTORIOUS/FAMILY version. Simon forgot to introduce Andy during the introductions in "GIRLS ON FILM", but remembered at the last minute after some reminders....LOL!

Overall, as mentioned, great show. The guys were really into the show, and I liked how JoSi were trying to get the crowd moving. I saw everyone rocking in the front of the house, but the rear of the house (in my section anyway) - most of the people sucked! People kept getting up to get drinks or whatever, and I saw people leaving the venue as well. Sheesh! What a bunch of idiots. Oh well, tomorrow is another day! :)
