The Internet provides a wealth of information about bird migration and hosts web sites that track the migratory journeys of a variety of species. Some of these sites allow visitors to monitor the flight path of an individual bird of a specific species.

Still other Internet sites offer information on how to make your backyard an inviting stop-over for birds during the fall and spring migration seasons and how to stock a life sustaining haven for both migrating and resident birds.

Information is also available for those who wish to become involved in birding groups such as local chapters of the Audubon Society which sponsors guided birdwatching activites and environmental education events throughout the entire year.
