My Father could make darn near anything out
of wood. He made cabinets, welch dressers,
drysinks, etc. All these things he did
with a copeing saw, hand saw and a hammer.
In 1966 my husband and I gave him a Power
saw and table for his Birthday. That was
the second time I ever saw my Father cry.
The first time was when they had to bury
their first born son. It has been 33
years since my Father passed away and I
remember it like it was yesterday.
My Mother is still with us, and I am taking
care of her like she did for me when I was
growing up. She gave up a lot when we were
children, so now I am trying to make it
easier for her. My Mother has arthritis
in her hands since she was a young lady.
That didn't stop her from making clothes
for her children, keeping a clean house
or doing all the chores. She loves to
crochet, embroider and up to the beginning
of this year 2000, she was making patchwork
quilts for all of the family, including
giving them as gifts to her friends.
So I am dedicating all the roses on this
page to them, as my Parents loved them so
much. My Father raised them in his
backyard up to the time of his passing.
My Mother passed away in October,2000.
I LOVE YOU BOTH SO VERY MUCH.
