Recently they moved to Wise, N.C. to a bigger air condition Hall. Saturday Nights are once again, Music filled. View and read about the Ridgeway Opry. |
Hello, my name is Bill or Willis, and I am also known as Unk. I am trying my hand at a short Homepage. I have been married to my lovely wife, Barbara also known as Pokey for 45 years. I am one of ten children, four boys and five girls and of course me. It was not always this way. I was raised with two Sisters and a Brother but I had three other Sisters and three Brothers. May 6, 2001 change the Life of seven People, My three Sister's and My three Brother's and Me. MAY 6, 2001 Let me explain, I was taken from my Mother at four years of age and raise by my Grandmother. My Mother had six Children as I mentioned, three Boys and three Girls. These siblings knew me as their Uncle for reasons which are not important now. I had pieces of who I was missing for way to long. It was on the above Date that I found peace. I met with two Brothers and a Sister and disclosed who I really was. I was accepted without any animosity and welcomed into their Lives. They all imposed the same Question, why did I wait so long. I guess I can only say, I was afraid I would not be accepted. The two other Sisters and a Brother were contacted by Computer and Phone, the reception and the Question was the same. We are going forward and build a better Future than the past. I am Proud of each and everyone, they are all Christians and their Faith which was instilled by Our Mother is unwavering. Praise God. So without further adieu, let me introduce you to My Brothers and Sisters: Brothers are, Adelphanus (John), Fred, and Dennis. My Sisters are: Nancy, Beverly, and Dorothy (Dee Dee). Three live in Penna. and one is in New York, Illinois, and Missouri. My family! left to right sitting, Dorothy (Dee Dee), Beverly,, left to right standing, Dennis, Fred, Nancy, John "This was the day Nancy became, Mrs Joseph Doyle.
I am so elated and have invited each to come and Visit, my Door is always open. May 2001 will be etched into my Memory for the rest of My Life. What a Great feeling I have within my being, an emptiness has been filled. I Love them All. What should never have happen, is now corrected. I want to share what Dee Dee wrote to me, "I wish I could just put my arms around you to let you know how Loved you really are, and so welcomed". Nancy wrote this, "Thanks so much for having the Courage to tell us. Having the Courage to want to be part of us. This is the first day of the rest of your Life. Live it with a Thankful Heart." That is what I intend to do. My interest are God, Country, Family, Friends, Country Music and Poetry. As a Poet I have four Poems published by The National Library of Poetry in Washington, D.C. I have lived my entire life in Southern N.J. 40 miles from Atlantic City. There has been a change in the place I call Home. On May 31, 2001 my Wife and I moved to North Carolina to a Town called Henderson. We are very Happy with our move. We are looking forward to a long and Happy Life in Our new Home.
