OK WELL THERE ARE A FEW OTHER THINGS TO SHORTEN YOUR BIKE AND ONE OF THEM ARE CUTTING YOUR BARS DOWN TO WHERE THEY ARE AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT FEELING CRAMPED OR THAT YOUR SOME DEFORMED FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER MUTANT NOT THAT BEING A MUTANT IS BAD-ASK THE X-MEN. ANYWAYS BE SURE WHEN CUTTING YOUR BARS THAT YOU HAVE THEM CUT EVENLY WITH THE OTHER SIDE AND ONE WAY TO DO THAT IS CUT THE BARS WHERE YOU WANT IT AND IT FEELS GOOD AND THEN TAKING THE CUT SIDE AND MATCHING IT AGAINST THE UNCUT SIDE OF THE BAR AND MARKING IT WITH A BLACK MARKER. A NORCAL RIDER NAMED PETE BRANDT DOES SOMETHING THAT FEW DO AND THATS PUTS HIS PEGS IN THE PEG BOSSES OF THE FORKS AND HE HAS SAID IT FEELS NATURAL AND HE WANTS A SHORTEN FRONT END AND HAVING THE PEGS FURTHER UP ON THE FORKS SHORTENS THE FRONT END OF HIS BIKE AS HE HAS HIS FEET UP FURTHER ON THE FORKS AND THE GOOD POINTS ON THIS IS THAT THE AXLE GETS STRIPPED LESS OFTEN, LESS STRESS ON THE FRONT WHEEL AS YOUR NOT PUTTING YOUR FEET ON THE AXLE WHICH PUTS PRESSURE ON THE WHEEL, AND IF THERE IS LESS PRESSURE ON THE WHEEL IT SHOULD ROLL BETTER SHOULDNT IT ON THOSE FRONT WHEEL STUFF. THERE IS ALSO THE FACT YOUR PUTTING PRESSURE NOW ON THE FORK AND FORKS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO BEND OR TWEAK OR CRACK TIME TO TIME IF YOU DONT HAVE A GOOD FORK AND FINDING A GOOD FORK THAT IS LIGHT AND HAS A GOOD RAKE AND HAVE PEG BOSSES IS VERY HARD.
