Redfield Residence - 1:00 PM
Claire and Leon are sitting on the couch watching a movie. It was Leon's day off and he was bored sitting at home alone so he came over to visit Claire. Chris is doing some paper work in his office down the hall so there wasn't much of a chance that he will come bothering Claire and himself any time soon. Claire is very interested in the movie but Leon on the other hand, was thinking to himself, "Ok Leon. This is as good a time as any to ask her out." Leon turned to Claire and said, "Claire?" She looked at him and asked, "yes?" All of a sudden he started to sweat, "Um… could you pass the popcorn?" "You gutless pussy," he thought to himself. "Ok, let's try this again." Leon put his hand down the back on Claire's shirt. "Leon? What are you dong?" She asked. He takes his hand out and says, "I just wanted to see if you were made in heaven." She answers, "Um, I think it's from The Gap." A disgusted look appears on his face as he turns away from Claire thinking, "Strike one. Let's try this again." Out loud he says, "Claire, do you have a quarter?" She looked at him, … no… why?" Smiling he said, "Because my brother Matt told me to call him when I found the woman of my dreams." His smile faded when she looked at him and said, "Isn't a local call 35 cents now?" Leon looked away totally disgusted thinking to himself, " Strike two! Man this sucks! She's totally oblivious!" Just then Claire rested her head on Leon's shoulder and said, "Leon, if you wan to ask me out then just say so." Leon swallowed hard and said, "Will you go out with me?" she smirked and said, "sure." Leon began thinking to himself again, "And it's a fly ball way, way, way back to the wall…" He stopped in mid thought as he saw Claire inching up toward his face, their lips only millimeters away from the moment Leon has been waiting for. Just then a familiar voice is heard in the background. "Claire!" Claire back away from Leon and replied, "Yeah Chris " He yelled back, "I have some family business to take care of and I need your help. Can you come to my office please?" She yelled back, "Be there in a minute." She turned back to Leon, "I guess you better go." They walk to the door. Leon walked out the door and faced Claire, "Bye." She replied sweetly, "Bye Leon, call me later." He leaned in to kiss her but she closed the door in his face. He looked at the door and said, "And it's caught at the fence…"
