The purpose of this activity is to create a list poem. The list poem is a very old form of poetry. It itemizes things or events. List poems can be of any length, rhymed, or unrhymed.Example of a List Poem:

Step One: Read the poem "Chocolate".Step Two: The students will be divided into groups of three and asked to respond to the following: List three sentences that represent your ideas during the Chips A Tally activity.
Step Three: Teacher will explain a list poem.
Step Four: The students will be asked to share their three sentences to make a group list poem. The suggested title is "Chips A Tally."
