Squall Leonhart.

The taciturn and reluctant hero....

A cadet in SeeD, the special combat unit of the Balamb Garden Military Academy. His aloof and antisocial behaviour makes him appear selfish and lacking a sense of team unity. Squall dislikes having others involved in his affairs, and is best described as a lone wolf.

Squall Leonhart is a typical teenager, which is why I find him so compelling a hero. He is moody, self-absorbed and everything that a guy of his age should be.

Yay! Finally, an anti-hero for a hero!!!

He seems to have a fondness for leather and the crossed belts were used by gun slingers. Referred to in Stephen King's excellent series of books begining with: "The Gunslinger." I did wonder when I found this out if Squaresoft had gotten a little confused between Squall and Irvine of if Stephen King had made it all up. The scar on his face is gained in the introduction sequence. He and Seifer are in a training battle that becomes a little too heated and Seifer's strike cut him and Squall returned the favour.

This face, this hero, this man has inspired a thousand fanfictions. You can see why.....
