In 1943, at the age of seventeen, she was sent to Auschwitz along with her mother. The video follows Kitty, now a radiographer in England, as she goes back with her grown son to the camp where she survived for two years. She revisits the barracks, the work area, and the latrines, recalling what existence was like there. While this is clearly painful for her, she endures it in order to tell her story, which is the story of millions of others as well. "You are here," she tells her son, "just to see that it is true, that it was true, and you can tell your children."

Every two years, thousands of Jewish teens from around the world spend a week in Poland, seeing the areas which were once the center of world Jewry and visiting the death camps in which much of that was destroyed. Then they go on to Israel where they see the dynamic rebirth of Jewish people and join in the celebration of Yom Ha'Atzmaut. Dara Horn was a freshman at Millburn High School, New Jersey when she participated in the 1992 March of the Living. She kept a journal of her experience and her feelings. Her caring sensitivity and talent as a writer are clearly expressed in this visual journal. Sharon Gorman Socol, a photography artist, gave her photographic interpretation of this event.

Their arrival in America is shown in color. Although technically and historically imperfect, this is one of the few films that makes certain Holocaust events presentable to children, and was originally shown on television as part of a children's film series.

Select segments could be used to introduce discussion about the reluctance of some Jewish prophets to deliver God's message to Man.

A documentary epic story of the rescue, immigration and absorption of Ethiopian Jewry through testimonial and rare footage as they are saved by the efforts of the world Jewish community. For more than 2,500 years, the Jews of Ethiopia lived cut off from their people, believing themselves to be the last remnant of the religion they fiercely preserved. Despite subjugation and oppression, they struggled to observe their faith, and shared with Jews worldwide a desire to return to Zion. Return began slowly with the founding of the State of Israel. When famine ravaged sub-Saharan Africa in the mid-1980s, many of Ethiopia's Jews were forced from their villages in an attempt to find food and refuge from political oppression. Families were shattered, and many died along the way. But the international Jewish community responded, clandestinely assisting their resettlement in Israel.
