So I’m doing my weekly news run around the sites that I usually go through an on CNS (an admittedly Conservative site, so be prepared for right-spin) and I find an article regarding the United Nations that I found quite interesting. Of coarse, the article starts like most about the UN on this site, where you are presented with a more seedy and true United Nations than is presented in the news. And I’m sure anyone who reads this site on a regular basis knows my stance on the United Nations: boycott and ban.
And, even though I know that the United Nations are just money grubbing whores, this paragraph STILL shocked me enough to write a rant about it!
”Thirty percent of the resolutions passed by the U.N. Commission on Human Rights condemning human rights violations have criticized Israel, while not a single resolution condemning human rights violations has ever been passed against 75 percent of U.N. members, including states like Syria, Saudi Arabia, China and Zimbabwe, she said.” -CSN News, America, Israel Should Take UN Seriously, Expert Says Dec. 3
That’s over a quarter! And even though I know that China would never allow a resolution against human rights with their big veto and Saudi Arabia is to economically important for everyone in the world it makes no sense that Syria and Zimbabwe wouldn’t have some sort of violations put on them. Hell, these people at the United Nations can’t even make up their mind whether there’s a human rights problem in Sudan!
And guess what? ANOTHER interesting fact! That you, as an American taxpayer (or someone who is in a family of American tax payers) are footing about 20% of the fucking bill for the United Nations! This is REDICULOUS!
I think that we need to kill the UN’s American funding just like we need to kill Pork Barrel spending too. This agency can’t even decide what kind of RAPE is acceptable as a human rights violation. Do you want you’re security decided for you by an African nobody from an area of the world that totals more than half of the worlds total genocide incidents in recent history?
