I-87 enters New Jersey, multiplexed with US-202, on the toll bridge currently 
carrying US-202 from PA to NJ.  I-87 and US-202 remain multiplexed for about 5 miles.
At that point, US-202 exits the freeway to its current alignment.  I-87 runs on a
freeway alignment, shadowing US-202 to just south of Somerville.  It then turns north,
crossing I-78, before reaching I-287 about a mile north of I-78.  I-87 proceeds to
take over I-287's routing to the New York Thruway.  This exit list ends where
real I-87 takes over.

A few roadway changes would be necessary with this fictional freeway.  I-87 in New
York, south (east) of Thruway exit 15, would be renumbered I-187.  I-287 in New York
would be renumbered I-487.  I-287 in New Jersey remains I-287 from Perth Amboy to
just north of I-78.

NOTE:  New York's fictional I-87 is on the New Jersey page because the fictional
part of I-87 in New York is just the state line and the interchange where real I-87
takes over.
