New York 45D is part of a 4 state, 45th parallel highway.  This is a unique "bannered" highway
for New York in that 45-D is in no way related to NY-45 (which runs in the southeastern part
of the state).  This roadway actually starts at Quebec highway 209, runs for a little over a
mile as a connector between the US and route 209.  Once it enters the US, it faithfully follows
the 45th parallel as a Super 2 for most of its run in New York.  The only deviation from the
45th parallel is a brief multiplex with US-11, then another brief multiplex over the US-2 bridge
into Vermont.

NOTE:  NY45-D uses mile marker based exit numbers, despite the fact that New York uses
sequential exit numbers.
