This is the eighth and final exit list on I-99. I-99 enters New York via the Outerbridge Crossing. It multiplexes with NY-440 only to the Richmond Ave exit, then runs along the Korean Veterans Memorial Highway before breaking off and running through Staten Island. I-99 picks up I-278, and crosses into Brooklyn. Just after the 85th Street interchange, I-99 runs underneath Brooklyn to the Long Island Expressway. It multiplexes with the L.I.E. from Utopia Parkway to Douglasstown Parkway, then runs due North to Middle Neck Road. I-99 exits New York on its way to I-95 on another bridge-tunnel crossing Long Island Sound. NOTES: 1) I-99 in New York and Connecticut uses mile marker based exits despite the fact that both states use sequential exit numbering. This explains why exit numbers on I-99/NY-440 don't run concurrently, and why exit numbers on I-495 increase quicker than I-99 exit numbers on the 99/495 multiplex. 2) Exit numbers in parenthesis are already existing exit numbers on the road that I-99 is multiplexing with 3) This exit list covers New York and Connecticut, since I-99 in Connecticut is just the bridge-tunnel through Long Island Sound and the exit with I-95
