VEHICLE RENUMBERING PLAN:

Okay, it sounds rather dumb to me that since 1990, in service buses have had the following
numbering scheme:

 800 through 837: 2
 838 through 899: 1
 900 through 909: 2
 910 through 924: 1
 925 through 1299: 0
1301 through 1325: 1
1326 through 2319: 0
2320 through 2337: 1
2338 through 2999: 0
3000 through 3491: 2
3492 through 3560: 1
3561 through 4449: 0
4450 through 4470: 1
4501 through 4580: 1
5001 through 5950: 1
5951 through 6999: 0
7001 through 7050: 1
7051 through 7100: 1
7101 through 7255: 1
7256 through 7299: 0
7300 through 7480: 1
8000 through 8559: 2
8560 through 8584: 1
8585 through 8589: 0
             8590: 1
8591 through 8599: 0
8601 through 8689: 2
8690 through 8875: 1
8876 through 8999: 0
9000 through 9111: 1

So, quick analysis, some 800s, 900s and 8000s numbers were recycled, most 1000s, 4000s, and all
6000s remained unused. Logic, please?

My solution to what to do with the numbering scheme would be to use a hybrid of Baltimore's and NJT's numbering
scheme.

Limit annual vehicle purchases to the following matrix:

600 or less 40 foot vehicles
100 or less 30 foot vehicles
100 or less artics
200 or less electric vehicles.

Vehicle numbering would be YYNNN, where YY would be the last 2 digits of the year, and NNN would
be a fleet number. NNN would not reset until the highest number is reached.

Fleet numbers would follow the following scheme:

 40 foot vehicles: 000 through 599
<40 foot vehicles: 600 through 699
 60 foot vehicles: 700 through 799
tt, trolleys, and electric buses: 800 through 999

Using this numbering scheme to buses putchased since 2001, as well as pre 2001 vehicles in use since 2010:

40 foot vehicles would be renumbered:

2001 New Flyer: 01000 through 01099
2002 New Flyer: 02100 through 02201 (hybrids = 02200H and 02201H)
2003 New Flyer: 03202 through 03313 (hybrids = 03202H through 03213H)
2004 New Flyer: 04314 through 04551
2005 New Flyer: 05552 through 05599, 05000 through 05071
2008 New Flyer: 08072 through 08171
2009 New Flyer: 09172 through 09291
2010 New Flyer: 10292 through 10411
2011 New Flyer: 10412 through 10511
2014 Nova: 14512 through 14601 (okay, slight violation, but, this will reset the next batch of 40 foot buses)
2017 New Flyer: 17000 through 17089
2018 New Flyer: 18090 through 18194
2019 New Flyer: 19195 through 19294
2020 New Flyer: 20295 through 20409
2021 New Flyer: 21410 through 21525
2023 New Flyer: 23526 through 23560

<40 foot vehicles would be renumbered:

2000 ElDorado: 00600 through 00689
2004 Champion: 04690 through 04699, 04600 through 04609
2007 Champion: 07610 through 07611
2016 New Flyer: 16612 through 16646

Artics would be renumbered:

2013 New Flyer: 13700 through 13768
2014 New Flyer: 14769 through 14799, 14700 through 14714
2015 New Flyer: 15715 through 15754
2016 New Flyer: 16755 through 16784

Trackless Trolleys: 08800 through 08837

Proterra: 17900 through 17924

Trolleys:

PCC: 47800 through 47817

Suburban Kawasaki: 80800
                    81801 through 81828
City Kawasaki: 81829 through 81939
NHSL: 92940 through 92965

My solution has no repeats for at least 100 years.

And to be fair, below are NJ Transit routes I'd propose for adding and/or rerouting.

200: Starting at Trenton Transit Center, via US-206 South, left on White Horse Pike,
then overlap the 554 to Atlantic City
200 north: Same route in reverse

201: Starting at Trenton Transit Center, via NJ-33 East to Business 33 in Freehold, right
in Raceway Mall Parking Lot, swing around to left on US-9, right on Business 33, back
to 33 East in Jerseyville, left Main Street in Asbury Park, left Springwood Avenue,
      ending at Asbury Park Station.
201 west: Starting at Asbury Park Station, left Memorial Drive, right NJ-33, reverse the
           201 east route to Trenton

401 south: Starting at Broadway and Olive Street: Right on Olive Street, left NJ-45, right
Colonial Avenue, left Lafayette Avenue, right Hessian Avenue, left Crown Point Road, right on
Red Bank Avenue, left on Crown Point Road. Continue down Crown Point Road to a left on Grove
Street, which becomes Jessup Road. Jessup Road to a right on Kings Highway.
401 north: Starting at Jessup Road and Kings Highway: Left on Jessup Road, which
becomes Grove Street. Grove Street to a right on Crown Point Road, right on
Delaware Street, ramp to Crown Point Road, right Hessian Avenue, left Lafayette Avenue, right
Colonial Avenue, left NJ-45, right Olive Street, left Broadway, pick up regular routing at
            Broadway and Olive Street.

402 south, starting at Broadway and Olive Street: Right on Olive Street, left NJ-45, right
Colonial Avenue, left Lafayette Avenue, right Hessian Avenue, left Crown Point Road, right on
Red Bank Avenue, left on Crown Point Road. Pick up regular routing on Crown Point Road.
402 north: starting at Delaware Street and I-295, via ramp to Crown Point Road, right
Hessian Avenue, left Lafayette Avenue, right Colonial Avenue, left NJ-45, right Olive
Street, left Broadway, pick up regular routing at Broadway and Olive Street.

402 SHORT TURN:
Follow the revised 402, take layover at the end of the route 455 line in Paulsboro.

401 and 402: Night and selected day runs: Southbound from Brooklawn Circle:
South on US-130, left on Hessian, right on Crown Point Road. Follow routings mentioned
above.
Northbound: Continue north on Crown Point Road, flip around to US-130 North picking up
regular routing at Brooklawn Circle.

410 south, starting at Brooklawn Circle, overlay the 408 to Delsea Drive and Cattell
Road, then, right Cattell Road, right Woodbury-Glassboro Road, left Elm Street, left NJ-45.
410 north, starting at Mantua Pike and Elm Street, via right Elm Street, right
Woodbury-Glassboro Road, left Cattell Road, left Delsea Drive, overlay the 408 to
Gloucester City.

** ADD A 411 FROM PHILADELPHIA TO CUMBERLAND MALL. IT WOULD NOT BE A BANNERED
ROUTE. I'M JUST BANNERIZING MY SUGGESTIONS TO DEPTFORD: **
411A: Overlap the 400 to Deptford Mall. Express runs would run via I-295
South, NJ-42 South to Clements Bridge Road offramp. Left on Clements Bridge Road,
left into Deptford Mall.

411B: Overlap the 401, 402, 410, and 412 to the 2 circles in Brooklawn, then,
Delsea Drive, left on Almonesson Road left on Deptford Center Road, left into
Deptford Mall. Express runs: Starting at Walter Rand Transportation Center or
Bridge Plaza, via I-676 South, I-76 East, NJ-42 South, NJ-55 South to exit 58.
Straight on Deptford Center Road to a left into the Deptford Mall parking lot.

Regardless of how it gets to Deptford mall: After leaving the mall, left on Deptford
Center Road, right on Hurfville Road, stay straight onto Delsea Drive to a left
in Cumberland Mall lot. (Some runs would run via right Heston Road in Glassboro, left
US-322, right NJ-47, serving Rowan Universiey).

412 south: Starting at Brooklawn Circle, overlap the 408 to right on Cattell Road,
left on Woodbury-Glassboro Road. 412 north would be the same in reverse.

425: Starting at Avandale Park & Ride, proceed along Swedesboro Road, right on US-322,
left Kings Highway, bear right on Auburn Road, right Center Square Road, left Township
Line Road, right Pedricktown-Harrisonville Road, right Beckett Road, left High Hill Road,
right US-130, EXPRESS VIA ramp to Commodore Barry Bridge, exit for US-13, right US-13
(aka 9th Street), right Morton Avenue, left Harras Blvd. Return EXPRESS VIA left 4th
Street, right Morton Avenue, left US-13, ramp to Commodore Barry Bridge, then LOCAL VIA
US-130 South, left High Hill Road, right Township Line Road, right Pedricktown-Harrisonville
Road, right Beckett Road, right Center Square Road, left Auburn Road, into Kings Highway,
right US-322, left Swedesboro Road back to Avandale Park & Ride.

(425 would run middays, evenings, and weekends. The Gloucester County Shuttle would still run peak hours)

431 east: Start at Frankford Transportation Center. Proceed via Frankford Avenue, right Cheltenham Avenue,
right Harbison Avenue which becomes Aramingo Avenue, Betsy Ross Bridge, ramp to J Tipton Blvd/Suckle
Highway/Hylton Road. (This puts you on US-130 North). Ramp to Hylton Road, left Thomas
Busch Memorial Highway, right National Highway, left Union Avenue, right US-130, right
Westfield Avenue, left Cove Road, slight left Church Road, right into Cherry Hill Mall.
431 west: Left Church Road, slight right Cove Road, right Westfield Avenue, left US-130,
ramp to Hylton Road, left Thomas Busch Memorial Highway, right National Highway, left
Union Avenue, left US-130, ramp to Betsy Ross Bridge, ramp to Aramingo Avenue which becomes Harbison
Avenue, left Cheltenham Avenue, left Frankford Avenue to Frankford Transportation Center.

432 east: Start at Frankford Transportation Center. Proceed via Frankford Avenue, right Cheltenham Avenue,
right Harbison Avenue which becomes Aramingo Avenue, Betsy Ross Bridge, NJ-90 east, Haddonfield Road to
Cherry Hill Mall.
432 west: Right Haddonfield Road, NJ-90 east, Betsy Ross Bridge, ramp to Aramingo Avenue which becomes
Harbison Avenue, left Cheltenham Avenue, left Frankford Avenue to Frankford Transportation Center.

If running NJT into Frankford Transportation Center is an issue, route via Frankford Avenue,
right Bustleton, take layover 100 feet north of Bridge, then, pull out to, right Cheltenham.

455 west, starting at Cooper Street & Delsea Drive: Right on Delsea Drive, left
on Olive Street, left US-130, merge onto I-295 South to exit 22, right on Red Bank Avenue.
455 east, via Red Bank Avenue: Left Crown Point Road, left on ramp to I-295
North to exit 23, US-130 North, right Olive Street, right Delsea Drive, left Cooper Street, pick
up regular routing at Cooper and Delsea. Start runs as early as 5AM.

402/(extended)455: Run midday service to/from Pureland Industrial Park.

463 west, starting at Tanyard Road and Highland Avenue: Right on Highland
Avenue, right on Cooper Street, left on Clements Bridge Road, right on
Almonesson Road, left on Deptford Center Road, left into Deptford Mall. 463
east would be the same in reverse.
