Non Regulation Stamped Brass Civil War Cape Clasp

1850's stamped brass gargoyle or lion heads cape clasp. Each has a thick brass fastening bar lead soldered to the reverse. There is a brass ring attached to the one bar that the other grasps onto. There are four attachment or sew holes on each head. Remnants of old green paint on the uncleaned mellow patina brass. $125
