Non dug Civil War Kentucky Military Institute, K. M. I. coat button. The design on the front is awesome. The front has a nice uncleaned patina. The reverse has a, c.1860, HORSTMANN & ALLIEN . N. Y., with rays, backmark. The shank is straight with early thread attached. This button measures 21 mm's in diameter. It is a nice button for your collection.
