The Biography of Knocked Conscious

.:.:. Knocked Conscious was formed in early 2002 under the name End of Nothing. Before End of Nothing, Kevin Conroy and Jack McKee had been messing around, just doing some simple covers. They wanted to get a band going, but didn't really know where to find a bass player. That's when Jack began pressuring Eric Ross (original, and current bass player) to pick up a bass and learn it. He eventually gave in, and joined the band in early '02. At that time, our original lineup was John Vigliotti (Viggy) on vocals, Jack McKee on guitar and vocals, Eric Ross on bass, and Kevin Conroy on drums. It was with this lineup that we played our first show, the Monmouth Beach middle school talent show tryouts. Unfortunatley, Jack and Ross did not go to that school, so they were not allowed to play. It was then that Kevin and Viggy, who went to the school joined up with Tom Garcia on guitar to do two songs at the talent show. Those songs were Smells Like Teen Spirit and Crazy Train, two garage band standards. They would soon start practicing with Tom, and he joined in the middle of May. They were now a five-piece band. .:. The first show with this lineup was in early June at a little league fund raiser at Griffin Park in Monmouth Beach, NJ, where the whole band has lived most of their lives. The show was a hit. They played to people ages four to forty, and everyone enjoyed it. Viggy left in early July. Over the summer, they played several birthday parties, as well as the Monmouth Beach Fair, and Monmouth Beach Day. Their current lineup is: Jack McKee - vocals, guitar; Kevin Conroy - drums; Tom Garcia - vocals, lead guitar; and Eric Ross - Bass. .:.:.
