1. I want to upgrade to a better barrel, which one is best?
Barrels are a first great step in a gun upgrade. Essentially, any barrel upgrade you buy will be better than the barrel that comes with your gun. It really comes down to taste and what feels right to you.
2. I just started playing Paintball and I would like to buy my first gun. Which one should I get?
If you are just starting out the Starter Kits are ideal. It comes with just about everything you need to get you on the field and rolling. Once you've been around the field a bit, you can upgrade your barrel or to a higher end gun.
4. What is the standard size for paintballs? And will they work in any gun?
.68 Caliber is standard and should work in most guns
5. What are paintballs made of and are they harmfull to the environment?
Paintballs have an outside shell made from Gelatin. The inside liquid is made from food dye for color and polyethylene glycol. They are non-toxic and will bio-degrade over time.
6. Does tempature do wierd things to paint balls?
Yes, high heat will make them swell and cold will make them shrink. Try to keep them in a cool dry place. Not too hot, not too cold.
7. How old do you need to be to play paintball?
Most fields have a minimum age of 10 years old. Anyone under 18 needs a signed document from a parent or guardian.
8. How many shots will I get out of my Nitrogen Tank?
The larger your tank the more shots you can fire. For example a 3000psi tank will give you around 10 shots per cubic inch. With a 68ci tank you should receive 680 shots, 88ci/880 shots. Number of actual show will vary from gun to gun depending on your set up. A larger 4500psi tank typically gives you about 15 shots per cubic inch. ie 68ci/1020 shots.
12. How many shots will I get out of my CO2 Tank?
There is no hard and fast rule to measure this. Some guns just use more gas than others. However on average this is what you can expect to receive: 9oz tank - 300 Shots, 12oz tank 4-5 hundred shots, 20oz tank 800-1000 shots. Remember though this is just an estimation and will vary from gun to gun.
13. I just got my gun and it leaks air, why is this and what do I do?
Don't worry, this is common for almost all guns. From the under $100 starters to the over $1000 pro guns, out of the box they all need a little TLC. First thing to do is make sure your gun is oiled and everything is screwed in tightly. To oil the gun, put about 5 drops of oil at the entrance of where you connect your CO2. Connect the CO2 and dry fire your gun a couple times. This will spread the oil through your gun.
15. How many shots will I get with each 12 Gram CO2 Cartridge?
Anywhere from 10-14 shots for each cartridge
16. I keep breaking balls in my chamber, why is this?
Ball breakage is usually the result of one or all of the following: High velocity (too fast), be sure your ball is shooting below 290 fps. Weather , is also a common factor, Cold weather can make paintballs brittle and hot weather can cause paint to expand, neither of these situations are good for paint. Dirty Marker, dirty components will usually result in ball breakage. Paint, old or misshandled paint will typically result in excessive ball breakage
