Ted Lilly Traded to the A's

"My first thought was I'm going to a team that wants to win, and win all the way."

"I had heard that he (Beane) was trying to acquire me earlier in the year — but you don't really pay attention to trade rumors," Lilly said.

"You see watching them from the dugout that these guys play hard," Lilly said on Oaklands Starting Rotation.

My Analysis:
I hope the Yankees knew what they were doing trading away not only Ted Lilly, but two of their top prospects. I think that Oakland got a great pitcher, while giving up one of their top prospects. Being a huge Ted Lilly fan, and Yankee fan I'm really upset with Cashman for trading away Ted. I don't know much about Weaver, but I think the Yankees made a huge mistake!!
