I Challenge You:
I challenge anyone to prove without any doubt that scripture teaches either its own preeminence or that of the believing person. I argue scripture teaches nothing at all. It is the Church that teaches, using scripture and tradition as 'authoritative sources'. I believe this is very important and key because logically, a book cannot interpret itself, but requires an interpreter. An interpreter implies authority to interpret. This authority was named by Jesus. The authority named was the Apostles with Peter at their head. By usage, it is plain to see that this applies also to the sucessors to the Apostles, as in the case of replacing Judas Iscariot after his suicide. And it was Peter (Cephas) who made this clear by quoting the Psalms (See Acts 2). This is one of the many points that back up the claim of Petrine pirmacy.
