These are a few of my favorite things . . .

My musical tastes vary from Bach and Beethoven to Billy Joel and Simon & Garfunkle to Def Lepard and The Nixons. After hours of surfing the web, these are a few of the best sites to honor these great talents!

If you are a Billy Joel fan, this is a great site for song lyrics.

STYX is a great 80's band. Great links and a very good Bio of the the group.

If you are a Dan Fogelberg fan, this is the link for you. You know, he recorded "Leader of the Band" and "Same Old Lang Syne". If you don't like this site, try this one.

Simon and Garfunkle is probably the best folk group from the 70's. They recorded "Cecila", "Mrs. Robinson", and "Bridge Over Troubled Waters".

Another great folk group from the 70's is Peter, Paul, and Mary. They brought us songs like "Puff (The Magic Dragon)" and "Blowin' In The Wind".

The group who brought us the songs "Sister Golden Hair" and "A Horse With No Name" was America.

And who could forget "Hotel California" by the Eagles!

Do you like the BEATLES?? My best friend has the greatest BEATLES page ever. Thanks Jennifer!!

And you can't have the BEATLES without Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and of course Ringo Starr!

Not only is Paul McCartney known for his popular music, but he also writes "classical" music. He has written two works for orchestra and choir. The first was "Liverpool Oratorio" and his latest, "Standing Stone".

He recorded songs like "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown", "Operator", and "Time In A Bottle". Yes, you guessed it, Jim Croce, is another musician that I enjoy listening to.

Ever heard the song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"? It was recorded by Gordon Lightfoot. Great song writer/performer!

It's down to the beach for a little Beach Boys! Do you remember "California Girls" and "Good Vibrations"? Some great music here!

Do you remember "American Pie"? This link has many links that talk about interpretations of this great song. That song was recorded by the great Don McLean.

Let's do some good country visiting. Reba is the best female country artist since Pasty Cline!

The late great John Denver(1943-1997) is the best male pop/folk soloist of all time. Please visit this site for a list of other JD links.

Visit the boys who brought us songs like "Roll On" and "Angels Among Us". Yes, that's right: The boys from Fort Payne: Alabama!

Another male country artist brought us songs like "I've Got Friends In Low Places" and "The Dance". Garth Brooks is his name.

The Barenaked Ladies is a new group to me. They have some great funny stuff.

Music from other countries has as much charm as music from the states. Celtic music is really big in the states right now. The Chieftains are the best and most authentic celtic group on the market.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo, an African group discovered by Paul Simon, is the best native African music I've ever heard.

This page will continue to grow as I find more site of my favorite artists. Please visit me again!!
