Learning To Love (Part 2)

Five Months later . . .

"J.C., it's time for your session," Chris said.

"I'm fine," he said. "So I'm not going."

"Yes, you are going, and no, you're not fine."

"I am too, I don't need therapy," he argued.

"Okay, fine . . . I'll test you then. I'm going to say one word . . . Gabrielle," Chris responded.

J.C.'s eyes started to fill up with tears, and Chris took his arm. He led him to the door, saying, "I told you so."

They got into the car, and J.C. started recapturing that night. "I'm sorry, it's just that I miss her so much!" He hit the dashboard. "It was all my fault!" He was crying by that time. "If I had, she'd still be alive! Emily, too!" Tears poured downhis cheeks, and he put his head into his hands, sobbing loudly.

Chris pulled into the parking lot of J.C.'s counselor's office, and said to him, "J.C., we're here. I'll see you later."

J.C. slowly got out of the car, and headed into the building.

Chris pulled away, and drove along thinking to himself. He glanced at the clock. "Shit! I'm late!"

Five minutes later, he pulled into Amy's driveway, raced inside, and quickly apologized.

"It's okay," she told him.

"I had a hard time with J.C., he didn't want to go. Once we got in the car, he stated up on how it was his fualt that Gabrielle and Emily died," Chris explained.

"Well, we need to get going, or else we're going to be late," Amy told him. "My flight isn't going to wait for me."

Joey and Madison knocked on the door at Justin's. Lynn Timberlake answered. "Hi! Justin's in the back, talking to Lance. Come on in."

Madison walked straight to the back, while Joey talked to Lynn for a while. "Hi, she said.

Justin stood up, and gave Madison a huge hug. They kissed until they heard a throat clearing. They looked at Lance.

"I'm here, you know," he told them.

"Sorry," Madison said. "Well, are we going to get in or not?"

"Yeah. Let me go change first, okay?" Justin headed towards the bathroom. Madison shed off her clothes until she got to her bathing suit, and got in the jacuzzi.

Lance sat down on the edge, beside her. "So, how's it goin'?"

"Well, my basketball game was Friday, and we won . . . "

"Sorry about us not being able to go," Lance apologized.

"Oh, it's okay. It was a boring game, anyway. I have another one on Tuesday. If you can, you guys should try and go. It's okay if you can't. I mean, you do have a pretty busy schedule."

Justin came back, got in, and gave Madison another kiss. "Whatcha talkin' 'bout?"

"My basketball game," she answered.

"Oh, who won, I forgot to ask."

"We did, but anyway, we have another one on Tuesday, as I was telling Lance."

Lance stood up. "I need to go. I'll see you later, okay?"

He went outside, got in his car, and drove off. He drove along, thinking to himself. **I miss Emily. I wonder what we'd be doing if she were still here.** He wasn't watching were he was going, and almost hit two girls that were walking across the street. He swerved, and missed them. He pulled over, and got out. He walked quickly over to them, and began to apologize.

"It's okay," one of them said. She had blond hair, brown eyes. "At least you didn't hit us."

"Yeah. I'd hate to die, before going to the concert tomorrow night," the other girl added. Lance looked at her, and sucked in his breath. She had brown hair, hazel eyes, and looking at her made him dizzy. (I've dyed my hair back my original color, which is brown. It's no longer red) She looked at him more carefully. "Oh my god."

"What?" Lance asked, still in awe.

"Whoa," she whispered. She hit her friend in her side. "It's him. Lance . . . wow, this is pretty spiffy!"

"Oh, yeah."

"We're going to your concert tomorrow night," the girl with blond hair told him. "Excuse my friend, she's in love with you."

"Shut up, Kira!" she told her. "I'm not 'in love' with you. I just really like your music!"

Lance laughed. "So, what are your names?"

"Oh, I'm Kira," Kira introduced herself.

"And, I'm, uh . . . glad to meet you," the amazing girl said.

"What's your name?" Lance asked.

"Oh! Um, Emily."
