The Well on the grounds of Old Fort Griffin

The Mess Hall at Fort Griffin where the soldiers probably ate most of their meals.

This is an interior shot of the mess hall showing the wooden tables where many meals were likely served.

Another interior angle taken inside of the mess hall.

The remaining foundation of the First Seargants Quarters.

This is the barracks where the enlisted soldiers slept. These barracks were very small in size, and about four soldiers occupied each one.
I'm sure they had to like there roomates very well to tolerate the small space. To the left is just a frame of one of these few remaining barracks.

This is an interior photo of one of the barracks showing the fireplace used for warmth during the winter months.

This is a photo of the Parade Grounds. Across from this Parade Ground is another area of
Parade Ground about the same size. In the distant center you can see the remains of a rock chimney.

This is the remaining foundation to the Old Forts Library.

The Bakery

These ovens were used by the soldiers to create many delicious bakery items to be served with their meals.

This is the rock floor of the bakery.

The remaining foundation of the Officers Quarters.

In the center of this photo and in the distance is the remains of Sutler's store.
We actually failed to see this until we were nearly all the way back to the entrance, so this picture was taken from a distance.
