Chapter 11 “A bump in the road”
The two made their way into the putt putt place. It took them a while to find molly and nick, but they found molly and nick at the arcade place in front of the street fighter game. “waddup peepz,” AJ said as he greeted the two. “wussup da Queen has arrived,” Kathy said as she was hand in hand with AJ. “wassup bone wassup kathy,” Nick said. Molly smiled and said “wuddupers u two,” “k so ya’ll wanna putt putt right now?” Kathy asked. Everyone agreed, so the four went and waited in line to get their putt putt things. The couple were hand in hand and looked so stress and trouble free. Kathy thought to herself,”y am i holding this guy,i don’t wanna fall for him, or did i? i mean he has a gurlfriend and i know im jealous of that but damn i totally respect that he has a gurlfriend, but is it too late that i’ve fallen for him? maybe we’re going to be a fling AGAIN. “babez? hello earth to kathy..?!?!?!” AJ said as he waved his hands in front of her face. “huh? what? sorry my mind was wandering off different things.” she said. “ok well i got our putt putt clubs and balls so lets go we don’t want to keep other people waiting in line,” he mumbled. Kathy nodded and tagged behind them. As the wind blew in her face, Kathy was lost in her own lil world. She sat down on a bench and wondered about what she was doing... it was right for Lexana, but was it fair to his gurlfriend? it wasnt fair to her either, because she is bound to get hurt by him once more. She sat there and was thinking about what she was doing...it felt so wrong, but so right.. she was dazed in confusion. “ima just go home and stay with lexie,” she thought until she was interrupted. “what’s wrong?” a deep voice asked from behind her. She turned around to find AJ there asking her that question in a deep confused look. “AJ i think u should go home, i mean home as in Orlando, Florida home,” Kathy whispered as tears fell from her soft cheeks onto the ground. “what huh? i thought we were doing just finE?” AJ said. “yea but J i mean it’s too much u know? u have a gurlfriend that i know deep down inside u love, and i have our daughter to take care of, so i think we are better off as friends and nothing more!” she manage to say. “yea i understand, but i dont want u to feel uncomfortable around me when we’re on tour, and i really do like u a lot, and totally understand if u think im lower than a sewer rat,” he said ina low tone. “no AJ i really do like u, and im afraid i have fallen head over heals for u, but like they said if it was meant to be then it’ll come back in the future, but as of right now i feel really guilty of coming in between u and ur gurlfriend, please tell nick and molly imma go pick up lexana and head on home, tell them i didn’t feel good ok?” Kathy said as she walked. “wait kathy wait!” AJ yelled running after her, but lost her in the crowd.

“heeh baby ur so silly...love u!” Nick said as he held molly closer for a kiss. “aww hunnie i love u too,” she said as she gave him his kiss that he wanted. “would u guys stop that love mushy shit!” AJ shouted. “haha wassup Bone where’s kathy at?” Nick asked. “she got pissed and left, but she told me to tell ya’ll she’s not feeling too good, and she said she’s going to pick up lexia and she’ll be at home,” he explained. “o no we better head on home then if she’s mad,” Molly said. the others agreed and left the putt putt place. They jumped into Molly’s car and headed for home.

Kathy was at her mom’s front door as she knocked on the door. “hey sweetie how come ur home early and where is AJ” her mom asked her. “oh i missed Lexie and i wanted to come home, and AJ’s still with molly and nick,” she explained to her mom. “well dear, Lexana is sleeping, so u have to come in and carry her home,” her mom said. kathy walked towards the couch that Lexana was sleeping on, and picked her up and headed out for her car. “thanks mom love ya,” she said. “no prob kiddo!” her mom said as she shut the door. Kathy laid Lexana down in the passenger side while she put the seat further down, then kathy sped off back home. Kathy had the serious case of sniffles because she was crying over what had happend earlier that night. “gee y do i have to make the mistake of liking a flirt? gawd i should of known!” kathy said softly outloud trying not to wake her daughter up . She pulled up into the drive way of her condo and got out. She walked around the passenger door and got lexana out of the car and carried her into the house. She shutted the door as she walked in the house and headed for lexana’s bed and laid her down as she kissed her on the head. She walked out of the room and headed for the kitchen. She brought out her Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla and plopped herself down on the couch and popped in her love stories in the VCR. she told herself she was doing the right thing by letting AJ go and letting him be. a couple minutes later, she heard the door unlock and turned around. She saw molly,nick, and AJ. “o no she’s eating ice cream and watching her old love stories.......somethings wrong!” molly whispered to the guys behind her. “hey u guys y are u home so early?” Kathy asked. “oh it got boring so we decided to come home,” molly said not giving her friend a clue that AJ told them that she got mad and left. “where’s lex at?” AJ asked. “she’s sound asleep in my room,” Kathy answered with a mouth full of vanilla ice cream. “i want some ice creammmmmm!” Nick said as he got a spoon from the kitchen. “haha come and get some BB (bubble butt....Hehe) there’s a lot left,” kathy said as she handed nick the ice cream box. “thankx thankx!” nick said as he dug in the ice cream. “woo im sleepy,” kathy said as she faked a yawn. AJ knew that she was trying to ignore him. “yeah im sleepy too can i go in ur room and sleep?” AJ asked. “not really u can sleep outside on the futon,” she said as she shutted the door in AJ’s face. “well me and molly decided to go rent a hotel to stay at u know we need our privacy!” nick said with a mouth full of ice cream trying to joke around. “k then hunnie if we’re gonna go to the hotel then we better hurry before it gets late,” molly suggested, so the couple left the condo.

kathy was lying down on her bed thinking about what she was doing if it was right or wrong. “i guess imma have to find out inda long run,” she whispered. “gosh i like him so much, but he has a gurlfriend.....and i dont wanna be scandalous and intrude on their relationship, i mean i want the best for lexia.. i want her to have a father,” Kathy whispered as she did not notice AJ listening at the crack of the door. He opened it and said, “is that how u really feel....u really like me?” he asked. Kathy jumped and whispered, “u weren’t suppose to hear that!” “well too bad i did, we CAN work things out u know..”he started. “no we cant AJ u have ur life and i have mine...things are too hectic for us so damnit we are just friends ok? i know that i like u and now u know that i do, but hopefully that feeling will fade away,” she said. It was quiet. Lexana was crying in her bed. “aww sweetie what’s wrong? mommy and daddy are here..it’s going go be ok,” Kathy said. “mommy i had a bad dream, can i sleep with u and daddy tonight?” she asked with her huge pupils looking at her mom. “sure baby, but daddy’s not sleeping with mommy in mommy’s bed,” kathy explained to her daughter. “y not? i wanna sleep with u AND daddy,” Lexana whinned. “ok ok then baby lets go to bed,” the three got on kathy’s bed and kathy and aj slept with lexana in the middle............
