The Beginning
The wind howled through the bare branches of the Oak trees in Barewood Cemetery. Silence dominated all that could be heard.....darkness captured all that could be seen. Cold and brisk air hovered over the scenery.....chilling every warm and innocent thing in its path. Just 30 seconds until evil filled the air....30 seconds until Lords of the Night owned whatever crossed their view...30 seconds until midnight. It's down to the last ten seconds of the eleventh hour, the last ten seconds mankind had left. The wind blew more harshly now...debris and life clung to the tombstones of those who died long ago. Fog clouded the space between everything. The Earth shook......the ground gave way to 5 old-fashioned coffins which were pushed up onto the surface.
The first to creak open was the second coffin. Dirt and dust painted over every inch of this stone sculpture. As if by magic..the coffin hoisted itself up and stood still. Silence. The wind calmed down and awaited for its master. Friction of rubbing bricks was heard and a pale hand appeared near the side of the serene coffin. The lid of the stone container fell to the ground helplessly and revealed a figure. It didn't budge at all..not even to wrap itself against the hard wind that was now blowing wildly again. Suddenly a pair of glimmering grey eyes fluttered open quickly. Now..the figure seemed more alive..more life-like. The figure moved out of her small place in the coffin and looked around. It was dark and the atmosphere was eerie. " Home...." the stranger grinned. She patted off her black crushed velvet mid-eveil style gown off and looked behind her to find that her companions still laid unawaken in there coffins. " I'll let them rest...we did after all have all long journey.." she sighed......
