The Three Nature Parks Of Albuquerque

The Three Nature Parks Of Albuquerque

The Zoo - The zoo is one of Albuquerque's main destination's for travelers. Here, you will find all sorts of animals ranging from lizards to elephants and everything in between. I have visited it a countless number of times and every time I go I find something new that I didn't see before. To visit the whole park, it takes about 3 to 6 hours, depending on how in-depth you tour it. Along your journey you may get hungry, so they have multiple concession stands throughout the park. The food ranges from pizza to hamburgers, depending on what you feel like having. If you like music, the zoo sometimes holds orchestra concerts in the middle of all the animals. It is really cool.

The Rio Grande Nature Center -This center focuses mostly on our habitat. If you want to learn about all of the native animals or about our state, this is the place to go. You get to learn about New Mexico through exhibits and information booths. This is targeted to the more mature visitor due to the fact of a lack of fun things for little kids. The visitor center is a good place to see when you visit there because of the facts and the activities that you'll find. If you're short on time, you might want to just see the native bird exhibit. It is very interesting. There is even a trail that leads from the park to the Rio Grande River.

Botanical Garden- Personally, The Botanical Garden is my favorite park in Albuquerque. It is my favorite because it has lots of fish and marine creatures. If you come from where there is no ocean, like New Mexico, it is a treat. You get to experience a feeling like you are walking inside the ocean. There is even a room where everything is hands on, so you can touch that interesting little creature. There is also a nature walk that takes you through most of the wildlife found in New Mexico. If you get hungry, you can dine in a fancy restaurant with fish and sharks swimming around you. It is a thrill that you are eating so close to the marine life. The only drawback is that it is pricey. If you don't want to spend that much money you can grab a burger at a snack bar. The Botanical Garden is fun for the whole family. Believe me, you won't hear, "Let's go, this is boring."
