Movie reviews from Christian and Marques!

REMEMBER: All movie reviews are based on a five star rating, where one star means it is trash and you definetly shouldn't see it, and 5 stars for a must see for any movie fan.

End of Days

Starring-Arnold Schwarzennegger as Jericho Cane, Gabriel Byrne as Satan, and Robin Tunney as Christine, the woman that Satan is trying to impregnate.

Rated R for 3 nude scenes, intense gore and violence, and for adult language. Children under 13 or children that can not distinguish the line between fact and fiction are encouraged not to go.

This movie comes upon us right as the millennium is going to hit. This movie portrays a religious man's worst nightmare, as Satan comes back in the year 1999 to try to take over the world from God.

The movie starts out in The Vatican City in Rome, where a christian schollar is studing the stars, and comes to a conclusion that Satan's wife will be born today. Then the movie flashed to New York in 1979, where doctors help a mother have her child and seem to clense her with a rattlesnake's blood. I have no clue why they did this.

Arnold Schwarzennegger plays an alcoholic bodyguard who is sent by nobody to protect Christine from Satan. His performance, to the contrary of what you probably have read, is very good in his performance and is very believable. Also, Gabriel Byrne is very good at playing Satan, seeming to bring everything to the table and walking away stealing the show. I thought that if Satan came down to earth, he would look a lot like and have a lot of the same traits as Gabriel Byrne.

I really enjoyed this movie from start to finish. Although the acuall movie can get very violent at times and is not recommended for small children, it added a lot to the movie. A great performance overall by all of the cast. I think you should go see it.

RATING - 4 and 1/2 stars

Blue Streak

Blue Streak-is a movie for the person who likes action and suspense. The movie stars Martin Lawrence who hides a $17 million dollar diamond in a police station. He goes through all of the trouble of trying to get it back, even posing as a police detective. In this movie, you start to like the bad guy. Throughout the movie there are funny little one-liners that make you crack up. The movie is rated PG-13 for the language (although not too much cursing). I would reccomend this movie for the person who is more mature because there are some inappropriate scenes for the younger audience.

RATING - 4 stars

Deep Blue Sea

Deep Blue Sea-This movie will make you not want to go near an ocean ever again. Have you seen jaws? Well, this is kind of a spin off from that, but is much more exciting, and the graphics are first class. I think that they were trying to make this movie PG-13, but they added some language and heavy violence so it earned an R rating. Some of the scenes are really gross, there's one part where a guy's arm gets ripped off. L.L. Cool J. was my favorite actor in the movie. Samuel L. Jackson stars as the shark "Wrangler", and is perfect for the part. This movie is for the person who likes to be on the edge of their seat. Remember, you might want to think twice about going in the ocean after this!

The Matrix

Starring-Keanu Reeves as Neo, and Laurence Fishburn as Morpheus.

Rated R for Some violent scenes and some bad language, but it is not that bad. Anybody who knows that movie violence is not real is encouraged to go.

The movie starts out very fast with a chase of a computer hacker through New York city. It ends with the lady shooting like a madman at the window. This is just a taste for what's to come later on in the movie.

We then pick up the movie at another hackers house, who is called Neo. He is told to follow the white rabbit by some mysterious print on his computer. A lady shows up at his door with a white rabbit tattoo, and he goes to a nightclub. There, he is approached by the same lady in the beginning of the movie, and she tells him that he is being hunted.

We pick up the story with Neo at his boss's office, getting yelled at by his boss for being late. We then go to his cubicle where he recieves a FedEx package consisting of a Nokia cell phone. It rings once he takes it out of the package, telling him that the feds are coming to get him because of his hacking record. It tells him where to run, and gets him away from the feds, until he hits a dead end.

I don't want to give the rest of the story away, because in my opinion, this is one of the best movies ever made. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The first 20 minutes or so are confusing, but if you stick with the movie until the end, you won't be disappionted. A must see for anybody.

Rating - 5 stars, hands down.
