This first picture shows 26 children that lived in the el coyote valley that ran mostly North of la placita de la Lucero, a town previously known as El Coyote. This picture is assumed to have been taken abt 1944. Names of the children (with help from some of those pictured) are listed below the photograph. To aid in your identification, we have listed the children from left to right with 9 in the front row, 10 in the middle row, and 7 in the back row.
Front Row: Angie Maestas, Julia Lopez (daughter of Belamino Lopez), Elsie Casias, Hector Montoya, Roy Valdez, Obed Valdez, Angie Montoya (Hector's sister), Leita Casias, and Mabel Maestas (with her head turned).
Middle Row: Jenny Romero, Unknown, Fred Valdez, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown, Daniel Romero, and Manuel Romero.
Back Row: Flaminia Casias, Rubel (Roy) Romero, Viola Maestas, Eloy Maestas, Carmen Medina, Tito Montoya?, and Alfonso Montoya?
Missing but believed to be in the middle row are: Margie Casias, Arabella Montoya, Ernie or Leo Montoya, Abenio and Frank Leales, and Frank and Benjamin Jr. Medina -- just not sure who is who.
This next picture is believed to be from the early or mid 1930s.
The only one we can identify here is the teacher in back on the left. We are told that this is Marcelo Montoya, a grandson of Jose Domingo Montoya and the nephew of Jose Antonio Montoya. It is assumed that some of the older brothers and sisters (of the children at top and maybe some of the older ones from the back row) are pictured in this photograph.
We definitely need help identifying the children in this photograph. There are 13 children, and it is believed that the following children are shown: Martha Maestas, Arthur Maestas, (possibly Rebecca Maestas), and possibly Tito and Alfonso Montoya (who may have been misidentified in the top photograph).
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. It is much appreciated!!!!
