Become a hot air balloon pilot with our fast efficient training programs. We are one of New Mexico's largest and most respected training facilities. Here in beautiful New Mexico we have pilot training all year round. Our Private 8 hour course is $2,500.00 using one of our balloons, or $2,000.00 using your balloon. This course can usually be completed within two weeks. Our 10 hour commercial course is $3,500.00 using one of our balloons, or $3,000.00 in your balloon. These prices include intense flight instruction and FREE ON SITE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR YOU TO USE WHILE YOU'RE HERE. Additional hours are billed at just $250.00 per hour. WE are also one of the only training schools to have all major brands of balloons available for your flight instruction including Cameron, Lindstrand and Balloon Works. This is by no means a crash course or short cut to a license. It is an intense teaching method that developes a students skills much more rapidly, because of the constant daily attention and the location of the training. There are two reasons we can complete our pilot training courses in such a short time. The first reason being the great New Mexico weather, and the second being the area that we teach in. It provides mutiple landing sites (10 to 15 landings per flight) instead of the one or two landing sites the other companies can offer. We have trained 100's of students with a 100% pass rate. WE GET THE JOB DONE.

Propane $3.00 per gallon (estimate about 150 gallons)
If you would like to get a jump start on your studies we have our course on CD, which include at least the following subjects: aircraft familiarization, preflight preparation, inflation and launch procedures, level flight, ascents and descents, crew briefing, Federal Aviation Regulations, emergency and abnormal situations, high altitude and long distance planning and flying, cold weather and mountain flying and sectional maps. You will find the FAA written exam. On CD are the questions and answers to the oral exam. The cost of the study material is $175.00 shipped priority mail, and is REFUNDED if you inrole in one of our training programs.
We also have ground instruction available where we teach you one on one everything you need to know to pass the written and oral exams. The cost of this instruction is $500.00 for the private aeronautical knowledge school and $500.00 for the commercial aeronautical knowledge school.

To all commercial applicants recent changes in FAA regulations now require all commercial applicants to hold a minimum of a private hot air balloon license. (you can no longer go from student to commercial you must first get your private license).
