Info on the Band

Carl Bell(guitar, vocals), and Jeff Abercrombie(bass) grew up together in a small town in Western Tennessee. Both grew up playing the guitar. Abercrombie now says jokingly that Carl was the one who convinced him to switch to bass when he was younger, "cause it was cooler." Abercrombie first met Brett Scallions (lead singer, guitarist) struggling to play small shows with various other musicians. The three got together and made up an eight song demo to sell at shows. The demo had sold almost 5,000 copies when the band decided to move to a bigger city. Harrisburgh Pennsylvania is where they ended up, an ideal loccation, close to Pittsburgh, New York, and the capital, Washington D.C. The band developed quite a following, and when they released an independantly made album "Porcelain" the media seemed to jump on it. The band was starting to see lots of publicity, sold out shows, etc. Not too long after, they were signed to 550 Music. The band met Kevin Miller(drummer)who became close to Abercrombie and Scallions. At the time though, Kevin was playing for another band. The band ended up recording their first complete album "Sunburn" with an "outside session drummer". Shortly after, Fuel asked Kevin Miller to join the band, he did. Their first show, with the band completed, was at New York's C.B.G.B's, Kevin had only had six hours of practice time. Fuel has become highly successful. The album "Sunburn" has gone gold, the Godzilla soundtrack, on which they recorded "walk the Sky", has gone platinum, and in October 1998 the video for "Shimmer" was nomintated for two
