History of Gunslinger (2003)

Gunslinger and the Alliance of Defiance started off 2003 dominating the FCW as they had for the better part of 2002. This was quite apparent at the January PPV, "TEN", which took place on 1/19/03. On that night, members of the Alliance of Defiance defeated a team from the FCW as well as from the ECWF in a War Games style of match. Gunslinger ended the month of January on a winning note as he defeated Jimmy Renegade on 1/30/03.

The month of February had it's share of ups and downs for Gunslinger. After struggling during the first part of the month, Gunslinger managed to work his way up into title contention for the FCW Heavyweight Title, as well as into Tag Team Title contention with his partner, Texas Terror.

Gunslinger and Terror managed to defeat the Tag Team of Pro-Pain and Tony Eriole during the first week of March. On March 10, 2003, Gunslinger faced Revelation in a #1 Heavyweight Contendership Match, but fell short. Following his match with Revelation, Gunslinger and Texas Terror faced off against the tag-team of Tony Eriole and Pro Pain on two separate occasions, coming out victorious in each match.

In quite a bit of a suprise, Gunslinger showed up on the CWU's Madness on March 15, 2003. At the show, he attacked Billy Bishop. This attack set up a match between the two at the UWN's One Year Anniversary Show. The war between the four men continued as Gunslinger faced off against Pro Pain on March 17th, defeating him. On March 20, 2003, Gunslinger took on Tony Eriole. Eriole managed to defeat Gunslinger on that night.

On March 23, 2003, Gunslinger took on Billy Bishop and the UWN's One Year Anniversary Show. Gunslinger defeated Bishop and also embarrassed Bishop by shaving his head, pouring dog feces on him and feathering him as well. On March 27, 2003, Gunslinger faced off against Tony Eriole with the FCW Heavyweight #1 Contendership on the line. On this night, Gunslinger took the victory. Gunslinger continued his success as he and Texas Terror defeated Rui Pinto and Hiro, Jr. for the Tag Team #1 Contendership on March 31, 2003.

On April 3, 2003, Gunslinger faced off against Argon for the FCW Heavyweight Title. During the match, Anaconda and Vibora revealed themselves as the newest members of the AOD and interfered. The interference wasn't enough as Gunslinger came up short. Gunslinger's defeat didn't dampen his spirits as he defeated Mario Wrangler at the following Pandemonium held on 4/7/03. Gunslinger followed this victory up with a win of Dethroned Emperor on 4/11/03.

On 4/20/03, Gunslinger competed along side of Devon Janero and Texas Terror in a 9 person tag match against members of Supreme Darkness, Team FCW and The Conservation of Wrestling Preservation. Though he competed valiantly, Gunslinger and the rest of the AOD came out on the short end of the stick falling to Tony Eriole and The Conservation of Wrestling Preservation. Gunslinger rebounded quickly following the defeat. A little over a week later Gunslinger defeated Mirage on 4/28/03, and Dethroned Emporer on 4/30/03. With these two wins, Gunslinger improved his singles record in FCW to 62-39, and in the process placed himself in contention for the FCW Heavyweight Title.

Gunslinger and his tag-team partner, Texas Terror, faced off against the Blade Runners in a #1 Tag Team Contendership Match, but were defeated on 5/1/03. During the next few weeks, Tony Eriole and Gunslinger became entrenched in a heated fued. The fued continued for the entire month of May. On May 25, 2003, Gunslinger and Tony Eriole faced off at Aftershock 2003 in a One Hour Iron Man Match with No Interference. Once again, Gunslinger was able to defeat his long-time nemesis. The victory also made Gunslinger the FCW Heavyweight #1 Contender.

On 6/5/03, Gunslinger celebrated his 27th birthday, and he did so in grand fashion by defeating Justin Justman to capture the FCW Heavyweight Title for the 3rd time. Over the remainder of June, the Alliance of Defiance continued to fued with FCW President Tony Eriole and the CWP. It came to a head on 6/22/03, when Texas Terror attacked Tony Eriole during the PPV. The following day Eriole announced Texas Terror would have to wrestle to keep his job. On 6/26/03, Terror was forced to wrestle in a gauntlet match against four wrestlers named by Eriole. Terror was able to defeat the first three men, but Gunslinger was named as the fourth man. Gunslinger defeated Texas Terror, forcing him out of the FCW. Due to what happened, Gunslinger felt that it was best to disband the AOD, and he did just that on 6/30/03.

During the month of July, Gunslinger became entrenched in a battle with former stablemate and tag-team partner, "G-Force" Garrie Morris. The two faced each other for Gunslinger's FCW Heavyweight Champion early in the month, with Gunslinger coming out victorious. However, the match wasn't without controversy as former members of the AOD attacked Gunslinger during the match. Gunslinger was also attacked by a cloaked assailant. The odds were evened when Tre' Evans came out distracting Morris, allowing Gunslinger to nail Morris with the Slingblade for the win.

After the match, FCW President, Tony Eriole, signed a tag team match between Gunslinger/Tre Evans vs. Garrie Morris/Unknown for the Summer Heat PPV on July 20th. Eriole also put the FCW Title on the line with Garrie Morris winning the title if either Evans or Gunslinger is pinned. On July 20, 2003, Gunslinger lost the title to Garrie Morris at Summer Heat, when his own partner, Tre Evans, cost him the match. Gunslinger was also attacked by Billy Bishop during the match. Also, Gunslinger's long time nemesis, PyroManiac also attacked him following the match.

The following night on the July 21st edition of Pandemonium, UWN President, James Greene reversed the decision of the match, and gave the FCW Heavyweight Title back to Gunslinger. Gunslinger was not present at the show due to remaining in the hospital for observation following the brutal attack on him at Summer Heat. On July 24th, Gunslinger returned at Thrash and attacked Flying X, a member of Garrie Morris' stable, following his match with Blast.

On the July 28th edition of Pandemonium, Gunslinger continued to torment the Maryland Militia. Gunslinger hid in the Militia's limo following the show, and after they had entered, Gunslinger locked them in the car and drove it into a retaining wall. However, before the fued could build up any further, Garrie Morris was injured and forced to step away from the FCW.

On August 7, 2003, Gunslinger lost his FCW Heavyweight Title to Letterman. During the remainder of August, Gunslinger took the month off to heal some of his injuries. In September, Gunslinger started back part-time and quickly moved up the rankings in the Heavyweight Division. Gunslinger had moved into the top two of the Heavyweight Division and was poised for a shot at the Heavyweight Title when the FCW went on hiatus. With the FCW on hiatus, Gunslinger decided to heal up a bit and sat out the rest of 2003.
