At the start of the year, Gunslinger was ranked as the #6 contender to the FCW Heavyweight Championship.
Gunslinger quickly moved up the ladder and eventually become the #1 Contender. He face off against an old rival Billy Bishop on 2/20/05 and Winter Waylay for the FCW Heavyweight Championship. It was a hard fought battle, but in the end, Gunslinger prevailed and claimed the FCW Heavyweight Title for the forth time.
On March 11, Gunslinger faced off against Armageddon in a title defense, but was defeated.
